Alexander Isak no longer plays for Newcastle United: Liverpool completed his transfer on 1 September 2025. Neither club’s announcement disclosed his salary, so there is no verified public figure for what Newcastle paid him or an official Newcastle-to-Liverpool pay comparison. The weekly amounts often cited online are third-party estimates for Isak’s Liverpool seasons, not his Newcastle wages.
What is known about Isak’s Newcastle salary?
A confirmed Newcastle salary figure is not available in the club and Premier League announcements cited here. Treat any specific Newcastle-era wage figure as an estimate unless it is supported by an attributable source; the sources below do not establish one.
This matters because a reported wage can mean different things: fixed gross pay, pay including bonuses, or an estimate assembled by a third party. Without a verified Newcastle figure and matching definitions, comparing his Newcastle earnings with a later Liverpool estimate would not be like-for-like.
What salary figures are reported for Isak at Liverpool?
Two third-party sources give different Liverpool-era estimates for different seasons. Neither is an official club payroll disclosure.

| Season | Reported amount | What the source says |
|---|---|---|
| 2025–26 | £280,000 per week | FBref lists this as Isak’s Liverpool wage in its Premier League wages table. It is third-party data, not a confirmed club figure. FBref’s Premier League wages table |
| 2026–27 | £300,000 per week, or £15.6 million per year | Capology estimates gross fixed salary, excluding bonuses, and marks the figure unverified. It is not an official club figure. Capology’s Isak profile |
The figures should not be read as a confirmed raise or as a reliable measure of take-home pay. They refer to different seasons, and the Capology estimate explicitly excludes bonuses. Neither source establishes what Isak earned at Newcastle.
Why did Liverpool need to “beat” Newcastle’s offer?
That wording reflects the earlier transfer story, not Isak’s current club. Newcastle said on 19 August 2025 that he remained under contract and that no club official had promised he could leave that summer. Liverpool later announced that it completed the transfer on 1 September 2025, naming Isak its No. 9 on a long-term contract. Newcastle’s statement and Liverpool’s transfer announcement record the public timeline.
Rank #2
Newcastle described the sale as a significant British-record fee, and the Premier League also called it a British-record transfer. The cited official announcements do not state the fee amount, so they do not support a precise transfer-price claim. A transfer fee is also separate from a player’s salary: it is paid between clubs, not an amount that can be added to a player’s weekly wages.

The Premier League records 54 goals and 10 assists in 86 league appearances for Newcastle. Liverpool’s announcement gives a broader total of 62 goals in 109 appearances across all competitions. The totals differ because one is Premier League-only and the other covers all competitions. The Premier League’s transfer report provides the league figures.

What to take away from the reported wages
- Isak’s Newcastle salary is not confirmed by the cited official sources.
- The £280,000 and £300,000 weekly figures are third-party Liverpool-era estimates for separate seasons, not established Newcastle wages.
- The £300,000 figure is described by Capology as estimated gross fixed salary, excluding bonuses, and unverified.
- Do not infer take-home pay from these gross or estimated figures; the sources do not establish deductions or bonus earnings.
