A ticket sold at Heights Lottery Centre and News in Alexander Heights won the $1 million Division One prize in Wednesday Lotto’s 3 April 2024 draw. It was the only Division One-winning ticket across Australia. Lotterywest was still waiting to hear from the winner on 9 April 2024; the available reports do not establish whether the prize was later claimed.
What happened in the Alexander Heights Lotto win?
Lotterywest announced on 4 April 2024 that one Western Australian ticket had won the $1 million Division One prize in the previous night’s Wednesday Lotto draw. The draw took place on 3 April. The ticket was sold at Heights Lottery Centre and News in Alexander Heights, a suburb in Perth’s north.
The ticket was the sole Division One winner nationally for that draw. Lotterywest’s announcement was reported by Taylor Renouf for PerthNow on 4 April 2024 at 12:18 pm.
Was the prize claimed?
As of Lotterywest’s 9 April 2024 update, the organisation was still waiting for the Alexander Heights winner to visit its head office and claim the prize. That is a dated status update, not confirmation of the ticket’s status today. The available reports do not say whether or when the winner eventually claimed the money.

What else Lotterywest said at the time
Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney described the win as Western Australia’s tenth Division One prize for 2024 at the time of the 4 April announcement. He said the ten prizes were collectively worth $10 million. That figure is a historical tally from the announcement, not a current annual total.

Mooney also said the win was the second major prize for a ticket sold in the City of Wanneroo in as many weeks and urged people who had bought a ticket in Perth’s north to check it. The announcement also noted a recent $99,000 Lotterywest grant to Uni Camp for Kids, which Mooney said supported two camps for disadvantaged and at-risk children from the Wanneroo area.
Lotterywest’s release framed community grants as part of the organisation’s role alongside prize payouts: Mooney said that available profits return to the WA community as grants. The $99,000 grant is separate from the Alexander Heights prize.
