The promotion is historical, not a current offer: the release said cuts would run through summer but gave no exact end date. ALDI’s newsroom listing confirms the release date.
What ALDI announced
ALDI said the reductions covered nearly 25% of its selection across more than 2,400 U.S. stores. The company estimated that shoppers would save $100 million over the summer, based on its internal analysis of promotional pricing and projected sales volumes. That was an estimate—not a verified total of savings customers actually received. ALDI said actual savings, prices, and availability could vary by store, product, and customer. ALDI’s June 5, 2025 announcement contains the company’s figures and qualifications.
Which products were included?
The release described price reductions across the store and gave examples, not a complete list of the more than 400 products:
- Fresh grilling items, including grass-fed ground beef burgers and baby back ribs
- Organic produce and fresh nectarines
- Pantry staples and protein bars
- Summit Popz prebiotic sodas and snacks
ALDI did not publish exact before-and-after prices or an itemized list in the announcement. These examples therefore do not establish what a particular product cost at a specific store.

When did the discounts start and end?
The announcement was dated June 5, 2025, and described the reductions as running “from now throughout the summer.” It did not state a precise end date. Because the promotion belongs to summer 2025, it should not be treated as evidence of a discount available today. Check current local listings or store prices for present-day availability.
How to compare grocery prices now
For a useful comparison, check the same product and package size at the same time, then compare the unit price and confirm local availability. The 2025 announcement does not provide enough item-level pricing to establish savings for a specific product or to compare ALDI with another retailer.

In the company release, ALDI CEO Jason Hart said, “Our customers count on ALDI for the lowest prices of any national grocer, every day, and we never take that trust for granted.” That is ALDI’s own comparative claim, not an independently verified finding presented in the release. Chief Commercial Officer Scott Patton said, “Value isn’t a trend at ALDI. It’s been in our DNA since we opened our first store nearly 50 years ago.”
