What is—and isn’t—confirmed about the reported cutbacks
The headline “Alaska Substantially Cuts Back On Partnerships With 2 Big Airlines” is attributed to Simple Flying, but its article details could not be verified against the accessible information. Alaska’s official sources do not identify the headline’s two airlines, specify which benefits changed, or give an effective date. It would therefore be premature to say that a particular earning, redemption, codeshare, or ticketing benefit ended.
Alaska’s 2025 annual report lists Korean Air and Singapore Airlines in a limited Atmos Rewards arrangement. That makes them relevant context, but it does not establish that they are the two airlines named in the headline or when those terms took effect. A partnership is not a single benefit. Alaska’s annual report distinguishes among loyalty agreements, codeshares, and interline agreements. A change to one type does not by itself show that the others ended.

What Alaska’s current materials say about Korean Air and Singapore Airlines
In its 2025 annual report, Alaska Air Group lists Korean Air and Singapore Airlines as Atmos Rewards loyalty partners. The table shows no Alaska flight number on flights operated by either airline and no reciprocal partner flight number on Alaska-operated or contract-partner flights. A note limits the arrangement to earning points when members purchase those airlines’ flights on Alaska or Hawaiian websites. Alaska’s current Atmos Rewards partner page lists Korean Air among its global partners and says eligibility for partner-flight points can depend on the airline, booking channel, flight number, and fare class. It also says direct bookings through Alaska or Hawaiian on ticket numbers beginning 027 earn points, including on Singapore Airlines flights. The general rule is that not every partner flight or booking method qualifies. These current rules should not be read as proof of when or why an arrangement changed.

How to check a partner ticket before paying
Confirm the benefit you want—earning points, redeeming points, or booking a multi-airline itinerary—because eligibility for one does not establish eligibility for the others. Before purchasing, check:
- Which airline operates the flight and which airline sells or tickets it.
- The booking channel and ticket number.
- The flight number and fare class.
- Whether the exact itinerary qualifies for the specific earning or redemption benefit you want.
Use Alaska’s partner page for current earning guidance and verify redemption availability separately for the itinerary. If a claim about a historical cutback matters to a trip you are planning, look for a dated Alaska notice or the complete original report; the available official materials do not establish the headline’s details.
