Before depositing, match the website and account agreement to the exact company and permissions on the regulator’s official register; do not assume the FCA warning applies to every AIMS entity.
The Financial Conduct Authority says of Aims Markets: “This firm is not authorised by us but has been contacting people pretending to be an authorised firm.” The warning identifies AIMS Financial Services Limited, FRN 968064, as the genuine firm being impersonated and says it has no connection with the clone. The FCA warning is specific to Aims Markets and aimsmarkets.io, not a blanket finding about every business using the AIMS name.
What is AIMS?
AIMS is a brand associated with forex and CFD trading, but AIMS-related services may operate through different legal entities. AIMS’ own regulatory summary describes several businesses and licences; those company-published claims are leads to verify, not independent proof that a particular website or account is authorised.
A separate AIMS Financial Service Group Pty Limited notice says that group has never offered cryptocurrency or FX services and warns that fraudulent sites have used its brand and corporate information. That notice concerns a separate group and does not determine the status of AIMSFX or Auric entities.

Is AIMS regulated?
There is no single answer for every AIMS-branded site. The FCA warning identifies AIMS Financial Services Limited (FRN 968064) as the genuine firm the named clone claims to represent. Separately, AIMS’ own article describes other entities, including PT AIMS INDO BERJANGKA, Auric International Markets Limited, Auric International Market (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., and AURIC INTERNATIONAL MARKETS (AU) PTY LTD. Verify any claimed licence, permission and domain directly with the relevant regulator; do not conflate similarly named companies or licence numbers.
AIMS’ own article also distinguishes Auric International Markets Pty Ltd, which it says ASIC cancelled from AFSL 430091 in August 2025, from AURIC INTERNATIONAL MARKETS (AU) PTY LTD, which it identifies under AFSL 526125. These are company-published statements, so check the official ASIC records rather than relying on the article alone.
| What to verify | What it establishes | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Company registration | The company exists in a registry | That it is authorised to provide retail forex or CFD services |
| Financial-services licence | A regulator record for a specific entity and permissions | That every site using the brand belongs to that entity |
| Website/domain match | Whether contact details align with the regulator’s entry | That trading is risk-free or withdrawals are guaranteed |
| Positive online reviews | Individual users’ reported experiences | Independent proof of authorisation or reliable withdrawals |
How to check an AIMS account before depositing
- Check the exact website and contact route. Compare the domain, phone number, email and address with the regulator’s official entry. The FCA cautions that clone firms may mix genuine firm details with false or changing contact details.
- Read the account agreement. Identify the full legal company that will contract with you. AIMS terms surfaced for this research identify Auric International Markets Limited as “the Company”; other AIMS-branded operations may use different entities.
- Search the regulator’s register yourself. Use the full legal name and licence number, then confirm the firm’s permissions cover the service and your location. The FCA recommends using its Firm Checker to check authorisation and permission.
- Confirm protections for that entity. Check the applicable complaints route, compensation arrangements, client-money treatment and recourse. Do not assume protections associated with AIMS Financial Services Limited apply to another AIMS entity.
- Review the current terms before funding. Check spreads, commissions, overnight charges, leverage, negative-balance wording, execution policy and withdrawal rules for the entity named in your agreement.
- Check the payment recipient. Confirm the recipient is the authorised company or a properly disclosed payment provider. Do not send funds to an employee’s personal account or a private wallet based on an unexpected message.
AIMS account terms and trading risks
AIMS’ Standard Account page states a $50 minimum deposit, $0 commission with trading costs built into spreads, indicative variable EURUSD spreads of 1.5–1.6 pips and indicative gold spreads of 1.8–2.8. It also lists a 0.01 minimum lot size and access to MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. These are company-published terms, not independently tested execution results; terms may vary by entity, location or account and can change.
AIMS’ FAQ says live-account leverage ranges up to 1:400, while its Standard Account page says leverage up to 1:500. Because the company’s own pages conflict, check the current written offer for your specific entity and account before funding.
| Account detail | Published information | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum deposit | $50 on the Standard Account page | Whether it applies to your entity and location |
| Commission and spreads | $0 commission; indicative variable EURUSD spread of 1.5–1.6 pips and gold spread of 1.8–2.8 | Current contract specifications and total costs, including swaps and other charges |
| Leverage | FAQ says up to 1:400; Standard Account page says up to 1:500 | The written leverage terms for your specific account |
| Platform and minimum lot | MT4 and MT5; minimum lot size 0.01 | Availability and conditions for your account |
| Losses and negative balance | AIMS’ FAQ warns leveraged CFD losses may exceed funds deposited and includes language making the client liable for a negative balance | The exact agreement and protections that apply to your account |
Forex and CFDs involve leverage, which magnifies gains and losses. A demo account can help you learn platform controls, but it cannot prove withdrawal reliability, live execution quality or regulatory status. Do not treat a promised spread or high leverage as evidence that a broker is safe.
Deposits, withdrawals and warning signs
AIMS’ terms say withdrawals are generally returned to the same source where possible and are subject to applicable requirements. The terms also say fees, spreads, swaps, commissions and other charges are set out in contract specifications and may be amended. Check the current written rules for the contracting entity; a general website statement is not a guarantee.

Identity checks and returning funds to the original payment source can be normal if explained in the written terms. A demand for a new deposit, advance tax, security payment or percentage of your balance to unlock existing funds is a serious warning sign. Do not send more money; preserve messages, account statements, payment records and transaction IDs.
Complaints and online reviews
Reviews can point to recurring complaints, such as withdrawal delays or aggressive sales calls, but they do not independently prove fraud. Give more weight to regulator records, the account agreement and documented payment or communication evidence than to star ratings or promotional claims.

Verdict: is AIMS a scam or legit?
The FCA has identified Aims Markets at aimsmarkets.io as an unauthorised clone of AIMS Financial Services Limited (FRN 968064), and says the genuine firm has no connection with it. This is a specific, serious warning—not proof that every AIMS-branded forex business is a scam. Other AIMS-related services use different entities, which must be checked individually.
Rank #4
Treat an AIMS account as unverified until you match its domain, legal entity, licence and permissions on the appropriate regulator’s register and confirm that the agreement and payment details align. If the site is aimsmarkets.io or someone claims to represent the named clone, do not deposit. If the entity or permissions cannot be independently verified, do not fund the account.

What does the FCA warning say about customers of the clone?
The FCA says customers dealing with the named clone would not have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service or FSCS protection if things go wrong. Do not assume those protections apply to a different AIMS entity without checking its own status and the rules for your account.
Why do AIMS pages show different leverage limits?
AIMS’ FAQ states up to 1:400, while its Standard Account page states up to 1:500. Check the current written terms offered to your specific account rather than relying on either general page.
Can a legitimate broker ask me to pay before processing a withdrawal?
Written terms may provide for stated fees or ordinary identity checks. A demand for a new deposit, advance tax, security payment or profit percentage to release existing funds is a serious warning sign.
What should I do if AIMS will not let me withdraw?
Do not send more money. Make a written withdrawal request, preserve your records, contact your bank or card issuer promptly and report the matter to the relevant regulator and fraud authority.
