The AIIMS NORCET-8 application window is closed. The official application period ran from 24 February 2025 to 17 March 2025 at 5:00 p.m.; NORCET-8 is now a completed examination cycle. If you are looking to apply today, check the latest notice on the official AIIMS examination portal rather than submitting an application for NORCET-8.
When did the NORCET-8 application window close?
AIIMS Notice No. 34/2025 set the online application period for 24 February through 17 March 2025, with the deadline at 5:00 p.m. AIIMS advised applicants to retain a copy of the submitted form and proof of payment. The notice also clarified that an edit window, if provided, would not extend the published registration deadline. AIIMS examination portal
Is NORCET-8 still accepting applications?
No. The application deadline has passed, and the exam and result stages are also complete. AIIMS held Stage-II on 2 May 2025 and declared the result for qualified candidates on 6 May 2025. Qualified candidates proceeded to a separate institute-allocation process, based on rank, preferences, eligibility and vacancies, with document verification by the relevant institute. How to check whether a later NORCET cycle is open
AIIMS portal search results have surfaced NORCET-11 Notice No. 103/2026, but the information available here does not verify whether applications are open or establish a deadline. Do not assume the notice is accepting applications based on its number or year alone.

- Find the latest NORCET notice and any corrigenda or updates attached to it.
- Check the application start date, closing date and time, eligibility rules, fee, exam schedule and institute-specific conditions in that notice.
- Use the application link provided in the official notice only if the stated window is open, and keep the submitted form and payment confirmation.
What NORCET-8 required
The following are historical NORCET-8 terms from AIIMS Notice No. 34/2025, not confirmed requirements for a later cycle. Individual eligibility depended on the notice and the rules of the recruiting institute.
Education, registration and experience
The notice specified either a recognized B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing or B.Sc. Nursing, or a B.Sc. Post-Certificate/Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing, together with registration as Nurse and Midwife; or a recognized Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery, registration, and two years of qualifying experience in a hospital with at least 50 beds. For the diploma route, the required experience had to follow the essential qualification, course residency, result declaration and nursing council registration.

Age and application fees
For NORCET-8, the notice set an age range of 18–30 for all AIIMS, subject to the stated age relaxations and institute recruitment rules. The application fee was ₹3,000 for General/OBC candidates and ₹2,400 for SC/ST/EWS candidates; persons with disabilities were exempt. SC/ST applicants who appeared could receive a fee refund after the result declaration and certificate verification. These are historical 2025 figures and should not be treated as current-cycle fees.

AIIMS used two stages. Both had one-third negative marking, and both included timed sections. The preliminary stage was qualifying only; the Stage-II score determined merit.
