The “deadline tomorrow” headline referred to AIIMS New Delhi’s July 2024 Junior Resident recruitment: applications closed on June 15, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. That 220-post application is not live, and its old portal is closed. A current 2026 opening matching that headline has not been confirmed; check AIIMS’s official recruitment notices for any newer advertisement.
What the 220-post headline refers to
The headline was published on June 14, 2024, so “tomorrow” meant June 15, 2024—not a date in 2026. AIIMS New Delhi’s official advertisement set that day, by 5:00 p.m., as the deadline for online applications. The notice stated: “Last date for online submission of application for these posts is 15.06.2024 (upto 5:00 p.m.).” AIIMS New Delhi’s July 2024 Junior Resident advertisement controls the recruitment details; Scroll.in’s June 14, 2024 report explains the headline’s timing.
The advertisement covered a six-month session running from July 1 through December 31, 2024. It listed 220 posts across 30 department rows and expressly described the vacancies as provisional, meaning the listed number could vary at selection. The official vacancy table gave category totals of 90 UR, 22 EWS, 57 OBC, 35 SC and 16 ST.
Is the old application link still usable?
No. The linked official portal now says registration is closed and labels the page “AIIMS-Junior Resident, Jan 2025 Session.” It is not an application form for the July 2024 session and does not establish that a 2026 application is open. Check the portal status rather than treating the old application link as actionable.

A review of AIIMS’s current examinations and recruitment landing page did not establish a current Junior Resident recruitment matching the 220-post headline. That does not prove that no other recruitment exists; it means this old notice cannot establish a new vacancy or deadline. Check AIIMS’s official recruitment notices for a newer advertisement before relying on any dates or application instructions.

These details apply only to the July–December 2024 session and should not be used as current application guidance.

- Registration: DMC/DDC registration was required before joining if selected.
- Application process: Candidates registered through the AIIMS examinations portal, logged in, completed the form, uploaded documents, submitted it and saved or printed a copy.
- Security deposit: The notice required a ₹25,000 electronic-transfer deposit for eligibility for seat allocation. It described refund processing after checks and possible forfeiture if an allotted candidate did not join. This was a condition of the 2024 session, not a payment instruction for a new cycle.
