What the January 31 deadline refers to
The headline’s date belongs to the AIIMS Common Recruitment Examination (CRE)-2024 application window. Scroll.in reported on January 9, 2025 that applications were open through January 31, 2025. That date is historical, not a current deadline. Read the January 2025 report.
AIIMS’s examination portal now surfaces later-cycle activity, including CRE-5 notices and results. Do not use an old CRE-2024 link or assume that its application form remains open; check the portal for the notice for the cycle currently accepting applications.
How to find the current AIIMS CRE application notice
- Go to the official AIIMS Assessment & Examination Registration Portal.
- Open the recruitment section and locate the notice for the relevant CRE cycle.
- Read the notice itself to confirm whether applications are open and note the stated closing date and time.
- Check the listed posts, participating organizations, eligibility, fees, and application instructions for that cycle before submitting an application.
- If eligible and the application window is open, follow the notice’s instructions to apply online through the AIIMS website.
AIIMS Notice No. 278/2025, dated July 11, 2025, is an example of a later-cycle notice: it directs applicants to apply online through the AIIMS website and says the portal closes according to the closing date and time stated for that cycle. What CRE recruits for—and whose rules apply
CRE is a common recruitment examination for non-faculty Group B and Group C posts across participating AIIMS and other central government institutions or bodies. The relevant advertisement determines which posts are included and the qualifications and other eligibility conditions for each.
AIIMS New Delhi conducts the examination, while participating organizations set their own recruitment rules and service requirements. Read the details for the specific post and organization you are applying to; a requirement for one role or institution should not be assumed to apply to another.
