The advertised 40% discount on Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps was real, but it is no longer available. Adobe ran that offer from May 6 through May 12, 2025 for first-time subscribers. The promotion charged $35.99 per month, or $395.93 for the first year when paid annually upfront.
Adobe has since renamed the full individual bundle Creative Cloud Pro. As of August 9, 2026, Adobe is advertising a different introductory deal: 50% off for the first year, with prices starting at $34.99 per month or $389.94 annually upfront. That offer is scheduled to end August 10, 2026, and has important renewal and cancellation conditions.
The 40% Adobe deal has expired
The original headline referred to a limited-time promotion, not a permanent price cut. It was available only to first-time Creative Cloud All Apps subscribers in May 2025.
| May 2025 offer | Price |
|---|---|
| Monthly billing | $35.99 per month |
| Annual payment upfront | $395.93 for the first year |
| Discount | 40% off |
| Offer period | May 6–12, 2025 |
Someone looking for that exact $35.99 rate should not assume it will appear at checkout. Adobe now markets the full individual suite as Creative Cloud Pro, and the standard price has also changed.

It also includes Adobe Express Premium, Frame.io for Creative Cloud, 100 GB of cloud storage, Adobe Fonts, templates, tutorials, and AI features. The plan includes unlimited access to standard creative AI image and vector features, plus 4,000 monthly generative credits for premium creative AI video and audio features. Selected non-Adobe generative AI models are also available through Firefly.
Substance 3D is not included. Adobe sells Substance 3D products separately, so 3D artists should add that cost before comparing the bundle with other software subscriptions.
The renewal price is the main budgeting issue
The introductory price applies only to the first year. After that, the plan automatically renews at Adobe’s then-current standard rate unless it is changed or canceled.
Using Adobe’s listed prices at the time of the August 2026 offer, renewal would cost:

Adobe says the renewal price can change. A subscriber budgeting for the first-year price should therefore record the renewal date and decide before the promotional year ends whether the full suite still justifies the higher recurring cost.
How to cancel a direct Adobe subscription
For a subscription purchased from Adobe, use this account path:
- Sign in to Adobe Account.
- Open Manage plan.
- Select Cancel your plan.
- Choose Continue to cancel.
- Select a reason for canceling and click Continue.
- Choose Confirm cancellation.
Check for Adobe’s confirmation email afterward, or return to the account page to verify that the plan is canceled. If Adobe is currently processing a payment or there is a payment problem, the cancellation option may be temporarily unavailable. Adobe advises waiting 24 hours and trying again.
Canceling early can cost money
Because the discounted monthly option is an annual contract billed monthly, canceling after the first 14 days can trigger an early-termination fee. Adobe’s subscription terms describe that fee as 50% of the remaining contract balance.

For example, if a subscriber has eight months left on a $34.99 promotional contract, the remaining scheduled balance would be $279.92 before tax. A 50% early-termination fee would be approximately $139.96. The actual amount depends on the contract details and account status.
This makes the annual-upfront option cheaper overall during the promotional year, but it also requires paying nearly $390 at once. The monthly option preserves cash flow but should not be treated as a cancel-anytime plan.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What happens after cancellation
Canceling does not normally remove paid-app access immediately. Access continues through the current billing period. After that period ends, the account becomes a free Creative Cloud membership.
Cloud storage is reduced from 100 GB to 5 GB. If the account contains more than 5 GB of online files, Adobe gives the user 30 days to reduce storage. Files saved locally on the computer remain accessible, but users should download or move important cloud files before the paid plan ends.

Is the deal worth it?
The current promotion can make sense for someone who regularly uses several professional Adobe applications. Paying $389.94 upfront for the first year is substantially less than the listed $779.88 standard annual price. The value is weaker for someone who mainly needs one application, rarely uses the AI features, or is unlikely to continue after the introductory year.
Before subscribing, compare the first-year price with the cost of the specific apps you actually use, set a renewal reminder, and treat the annual contract as a 12-month commitment. The old 40% offer should not be used as the benchmark: the relevant current product is Creative Cloud Pro, and its promotional and standard prices are different.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: The advertised 40% Adobe discount is an expired May 2025 promotion. The comparable current product is Creative Cloud Pro, which Adobe is offering at 50% off for the first year through August 10, 2026, starting at $34.99 per month or $389.94 paid upfront. Check the 12-month commitment, the potential early-cancellation fee, and the renewal price before subscribing.
