That is a historical deal report, not confirmation that the monitor still costs $599 or that the price was an all-time low: no independent price-history data establishes either point, and its current Amazon price and stock have not been verified.
If the offer returns, the key question is whether a 49-inch, 32:9, 240 Hz screen fits your setup and budget. Acer identifies the model as part number UM.SE1AA.301 and lists its core specifications on its US product specifications page.

What the $599.99 deal actually referred to
The monitor was the Acer Nitro EI491CUR W3, part number UM.SE1AA.301. HotHardware’s March 3, 2026, report said Amazon had it for $599.99, describing that price as 25% off and $200 below MSRP. Those figures describe the offer reported that day; they do not establish a current price or a verified all-time low. The report also quoted $499.99 for a 120 Hz version and $899.99 for Samsung’s 49-inch Odyssey G93SC QD-OLED as contemporaneous comparisons, not current offers. Read HotHardware’s deal report.

These specifications come from Acer’s US product specifications; the approximate weight is from its US Store listing. The deal report describes the panel as VA and says the monitor is neither OLED nor mini LED and does not support HDR visuals. Those panel and HDR distinctions are attributed to that report, rather than to hands-on testing.
Is it worth considering at $599?
At the reported price, the Nitro’s appeal is its combination of a very wide, high-resolution display and a 240 Hz refresh rate. Its 5120 × 1440 resolution gives the 32:9 screen a dual-QHD format, while AMD FreeSync and the listed HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 inputs are relevant to gaming setups. Whether those features justify the cost depends on your desk space, connected hardware, and preference for VA rather than OLED; the available material does not establish comparative image quality or gaming performance through testing.

For personal-finance purposes, treat $599.99 as a reference point for checking a live offer, not as a guaranteed budget or proof of a bargain against the monitor’s normal selling price. Confirm the exact model number, final checkout price, shipping and tax, return window, and warranty terms before buying. The cited deal report does not establish today’s Amazon listing or those purchase terms.

A 49-inch 32:9 monitor takes substantial desk width. Measure the available space and consider the footprint of the stand, not just the screen diagonal. If you plan to use an arm or wall mount, Acer’s VESA compatibility is a useful starting point, but verify the mount pattern and its load rating against the monitor’s specifications before purchase. Acer lists the monitor at approximately 22 lb with its stand; do not assume a mount is suitable based on screen size alone.

- GET SMOOTH ACTION WITHOUT DISRUPTION: Keep your fast-action games fluid with variable refresh rate (VRR) and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.² The synced GPU and panel reduce choppiness, screen lag, and image tears.
- SIDE-BY-SIDE GAMEPLAY IN ONE SCREEN: Use your screen to its maximum potential with a split screen that lets you team up with friends in a whole new way.
How it compares with other Acer 49-inch options
Acer’s Predator X49 X is a separate model, not another name for the Nitro deal. Acer’s US Store listing showed the Predator at $999.99, reduced from $1,299.99, and in stock when accessed. Its listed screen is 49 inches with 5120 × 1440 resolution and a 240 Hz refresh rate. Those are listing-time prices and specifications, not a direct guarantee of current availability or a like-for-like value judgment. See Acer’s Predator X49 X listing.
The deal report’s $899.99 figure for Samsung’s Odyssey G93SC QD-OLED was also a March 2026 comparison, not a present-day quote. OLED and VA are different panel technologies, so price alone does not show which monitor is the better fit. Compare current prices, refresh rate and resolution, ports, return and warranty terms, and the panel technology you want before choosing.
