CRN counted 39 Accenture acquisitions in calendar 2024. That is different from Accenture’s official fiscal-year figure: its 2024 Form 10-K reports 46 strategic acquisitions during the fiscal year ended August 31, 2024, representing $6.6 billion in aggregate. The calendar-year roster below preserves CRN’s descriptions and does not imply that every deal closed on its announcement date.

Why the 2024 acquisition totals differ

The figures cover different reporting periods and come from different sources. CRN’s roundup lists 39 acquisitions during calendar 2024. Accenture’s 2024 Form 10-K reports 46 strategic acquisitions in its fiscal year, which ended August 31, 2024, and $6.6 billion across those fiscal-year acquisitions. The 10-K figure is not a price total for CRN’s calendar-year list, and it does not give comparable values for each company below.

Accenture says its acquisition strategy is to scale in high-growth areas, add skills and capabilities, and deepen industry and functional expertise. CRN’s list illustrates the breadth of that approach, spanning technology, consulting, engineering and industry-specific services.

The roster is arranged in the chronological sequence used in CRN’s roundup. “Acquired,” “agreed to acquire,” “unveiled” and “set to join” are not interchangeable: the descriptions below retain the reported status where CRN specifies one. CRN’s article is a secondary trade-publication roundup, not an independently reconstructed register of completed transactions.

What the list says about Accenture’s capability mix

The acquisitions brought together a wide range of specialist services rather than a single product category. CRN’s roundup shows several recurring capability areas:

  • AI, data and digital engineering: Ammagamma, GemSeek, Mindcurv, Parsionate and Cientra, among others.
  • Cloud, infrastructure and cybersecurity: 6point6, Navisite and CLIMB.
  • Marketing, creative work and customer experience: Work & Co., Jixie, The Lumery, Soko and Unlimited.
  • Supply chain, procurement and operations: OnProcess Technology, Impendi, Insight Sourcing, Flo Group, Partners in Performance and Joshua Tree Group.
  • Public services and health care: Arηs Group, Intellera Consulting, Cognosante, Customer Management IT and SirfinPA, and Consus.health.
  • Semiconductors, industrial engineering and infrastructure: Excelmax Technologies, True North Solutions, Boslan, Fibermind and IQT Group.

These are useful ways to understand the roster, not a ranking of transaction size or strategic importance. Accenture’s cited fiscal-year filing gives an aggregate acquisition figure, while the cited sources do not provide comparable purchase prices for the 39 calendar-year entries.

What Accenture disclosed about its acquisition approach

Stuart Nicoll, global lead of Accenture Corporate Development, told CRN: “Over the last decade, we have built a finely tuned acquisition capability, becoming known in the market as a good home with approximately 75 percent, on average, of our acquisitions sole-sourced.” The percentage is Nicoll’s statement as quoted by CRN, not an independently audited measure.
