What was the final application deadline?
The original deadline reported by Scroll was Dec. 10, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. AAICLAS issued a notice dated Dec. 9 under Advertisement No. AAICLAS/HR/CHQ/Rect./2024, extending the deadline to Dec. 21, 2024. The notice said other general conditions remained unchanged. The extended date has passed.
Applicants looking for current openings should check the AAICLAS careers page and rely on the dates in the active official notice, rather than an old application link or report.
How many Security Screener vacancies were reported?
There is a discrepancy in Scroll’s reporting: its Dec. 5, 2024 headline said 274 posts, while the article body and its Dec. 10 follow-up said 247. The available evidence does not include the full 2024 advertisement, so it does not independently establish the sanctioned vacancy count. The difference should not be silently resolved as if the underlying notice had been verified.

Scroll’s Dec. 5 report described these historical requirements and fees. They are not current application guidance, and the complete 2024 advertisement was not available to confirm all terms.
- Age: No older than 27 as of Nov. 1, 2024.
- Education: Graduation, with at least 60% marks for General candidates and 55% for SC/ST candidates.
- Language: Ability to read or speak English, Hindi, and/or be conversant with a local language.
- Reported fee: Rs 750 for Unreserved/OBC candidates and Rs 100 for SC/ST/EWS and women candidates. The reduced fee was subject to a valid certificate from the appropriate authority.
Are later AAICLAS screener notices the same recruitment?
No. AAICLAS issued a separate fresher screener advertisement in 2025 with a June 30, 2025 application deadline. That notice described a three-year fixed-term engagement and work screening cargo and in-line hold baggage; it was a distinct, also expired recruitment round.
A separate AAICLAS circular dated May 22, 2025 concerned certified screeners. It required valid BCAS Basic AVSEC and screener certifications, so it was not an eligibility notice for the 2024 fresher vacancies.
