Tyler Perry’s reported real-estate history spans a former Atlanta mansion, a Beverly Hills home, vacation properties in Wyoming and the Bahamas, and a major Atlanta production campus. Those properties do not add up to a verified list of what he owns today: the available accounts describe acquisitions, sales and listings at different points in time.

How to read the property timeline

Media coverage places Perry’s real estate across several uses: private residences, vacation properties and a production campus. A reported past purchase does not confirm present ownership, and a home listed for sale is not the same as a home sold. The prices below are therefore tied to the specific transactions or listing reports that supplied them, rather than treated as comparable measures of current value.

The former Buckhead mansion in Atlanta

Architectural Digest’s portfolio account says Perry bought a Buckhead estate, removed its existing house and built a large mansion on the property. Realtor.com and The Washington Post reported that he sold the mansion in 2016 for $17.5 million. Both described the transaction as a record sale for the Atlanta area at the time; that is a historical claim, not a statement about today’s rankings.

The Beverly Hills mansion: a reported 2026 listing

Realtor.com reports that Perry bought the Beverly Hills mansion in 2004 for $4.3 million and transformed it in 2012. The same outlet reported in 2026 that the property was listed for $57 million. That figure is an asking price, not a completed sale price, and a listing’s price or status can change. The report alone does not establish whether Perry still owns the home now.

The Bahamas islands

Portfolio coverage and Realtor.com’s 2026 roundup report that Perry acquired White Bay Cay and an adjacent island in 2009. Realtor.com gives rounded estimates of about 25 acres for White Bay Cay and about seven acres for the neighboring island. The cited roundup does not disclose the purchase price, so there is no supported transaction figure to attach to the acquisition.

The Wyoming vacation cabin

Realtor.com’s roundup reports that Perry bought a log cabin in Wyoming in 2005 as a vacation home. This documents a reported historical acquisition; it does not verify whether the cabin remains in his portfolio.

Tyler Perry Studios is business property, not a home

Architectural Digest describes Tyler Perry Studios as a production campus on Atlanta’s former Fort McPherson military base. It belongs in a broader account of Perry’s real-estate footprint, but it is a business property rather than a residence.

A home offered during a difficult moment

Architectural Digest recounts Meghan Markle’s description of Perry’s help during the couple’s transition in 2020–21. In her 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Markle said, “We needed a house and he offered security as well.” That statement describes an offer of help; it should not be treated as proof of ownership of a particular property beyond what the account establishes.

What the reported figures do—and do not—show

  • The $17.5 million Buckhead figure is a reported 2016 sale price.
  • The $57 million Beverly Hills figure is a reported 2026 asking price, not a sale.
  • The Bahamas acreage figures are rounded estimates from secondary reporting, and the cited roundup gives no purchase price.
  • The available accounts do not establish a complete property count or a reliable aggregate portfolio value.
