The best reported Galaxy S26 discounts in October 2026 are trade-in offers through Samsung: up to $340 off the Galaxy S26, $440 off the S26+, and $700 off the S26 Ultra. Those are maximum promotional amounts, not guaranteed prices. Your eligible phone, its condition, the exact model and storage, and the offer terms determine what you actually pay. Carrier deals may advertise a free phone, but a qualifying plan, new line, and monthly bill credits can change the total cost.
Current deal coverage reports these promotions, but does not establish each buyer’s checkout price. Confirm the terms for your configuration before treating a discount as live or calculating your savings.
What Galaxy S26 deals are reported right now?
An October 2026 roundup from Tom’s Guide reports Samsung trade-in discounts of up to $340 for the Galaxy S26, $440 for the Galaxy S26+, and $700 for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. “Up to” matters: the maximum is not a cash discount available to every buyer, and the roundup does not establish the credit for a particular trade-in or configuration.

The prices in the table are Tom’s Guide’s reported starting prices for 256GB models after a price increase reported October 1, 2026; they are not confirmed live checkout prices. The discount ceilings come from its separate October deal roundup. Because the two reports do not confirm that the prices and promotions apply together to the same buyer and configuration, subtracting one from the other would not establish your purchase price. The roundup also reports a T-Mobile offer for a free S26 with a new line on its Experience More plan, and an S26+ offer tied to a trade-in and eligible data plan. It does not provide enough terms to determine eligibility, the value or duration of credits, or total plan costs for an individual customer. Treat these as reported offer structures, not a promise of a no-cost phone.
How to compare the real cost of an offer
Compare the same model and storage capacity, and judge the full amount you must pay—not the largest discount shown in an advertisement. A lower upfront price can still cost more over time if it requires a pricier plan or credits that arrive gradually.

- Trade-in value: Confirm that your exact old-phone model qualifies and check the condition requirements. Do not assume you will receive the maximum advertised credit.
- Plan and line requirements: Check whether the offer requires a new line, a particular plan, or continued service. Compare the required plan with what you would otherwise pay.
- Credit timing: Find out whether the savings apply at checkout or as monthly bill credits, how long credits continue, and what happens if you cancel or change service.
- Taxes and fees: Check which amount is taxed and whether activation, upgrade, or other fees apply.
- Combining promotions: Samsung says trade-in offers generally cannot be combined with other Samsung, carrier, or retailer promotions unless the terms of the specific offer allow it. Read the terms attached to the offer you plan to use on Samsung’s Galaxy S26 offers page.
- Product and seller: Verify storage, color, stock, seller, and whether the phone is unlocked or carrier-specific. The same model name does not guarantee identical terms.
- Expiration: Check the offer’s end date at checkout. Samsung’s general US phone-offers page includes dated promotions; an earlier example is not evidence that it remains available now. Visit Samsung’s phone offers page for current listings.
How to verify a deal before buying
- Open the seller’s current product or offer page and select the exact S26 model, storage, color, and seller or carrier.
- Enter your trade-in model and condition, if applicable, and record the credit the site actually offers—not its advertised maximum.
- Review plan, new-line, bill-credit, and promotion-combination requirements. Read the offer terms linked to that specific deal.
- Proceed far enough in checkout to inspect the price, taxes, fees, credit timing, and stock. Do not infer a final price from a headline.
- Compare the total you would pay under the required plan and service period with a same-configuration offer that does not require those conditions.
Samsung announced that general availability for the S26 family began March 11, 2026, with sales through Samsung, Amazon Stores, Best Buy, and nationwide carriers.
