Param Labs announced a $7 million funding round on May 16, 2024, led by Animoca Brands, to develop its modular gaming ecosystem. The round was reported by GamesBeat and included several other investors. It was separate from Animoca Brands’ strategic investment announcement in March 2024, which did not disclose the round amount.
What the $7 million round covered
GamesBeat reported that Animoca Brands led the round, with Delphi Ventures, Cypher Capital, P2 Ventures, Mechanism Capital, Merit Circle, TRGC Capital, Double Peak Group, MH Ventures, and other participants. The stated purpose was to develop Param Labs’ modular gaming ecosystem. How the March investment announcement differed
On March 14, 2024, Animoca Brands announced a strategic investment intended to strengthen its partnership with Param Labs and support development of Web3 infrastructure and ecosystem expansion. Kiraverse
Animoca described Kiraverse as Param Labs’ flagship Web3 multiplayer third-person shooter. The company said players could compete and trade digital assets, including characters and skins. These were company descriptions published in 2024, not independent assessments of gameplay or current availability.

Pixel-to-Poly
Pixel-to-Poly was described as a service for turning 2D images into playable 3D characters. Animoca said the characters were compatible with Kiraverse and named Grand Theft Auto V and Fortnite as Web2 titles. That announcement does not establish whether the service or those integrations are currently available.
Developer infrastructure and partnerships
Param Labs was also described as building tools to help developers add blockchain-based experiences, as well as a game launcher. Animoca said in March 2024 that the ecosystem had more than 50 IP partnerships, citing GameStop, Pudgy Penguins, and Mocaverse as examples. Audience figures were historical company claims
The Block reported on May 16, 2024 that Param Labs claimed more than 2.5 million followers across its X pages, 500,000 Discord users, and 300,000 daily active users.
