The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) Senior Secondary, or Class 12, result was released on 14 May 2025. The board’s result statistics are the source for the reported finding that girls outperformed boys, but the exact gender-wise pass percentages cannot be confirmed from the readable text of the official PDF. The result is historical; PSEB’s site now lists later 2026 Senior Secondary results.
What the 2025 Punjab Board Class 12 result shows
PSEB’s official Result Statistics of Sr Secondary Examination 2025 is dated 14 May 2025. It is the primary source for the gender comparison. The table is not legible in the PDF’s searchable text extraction, so exact girls’ and boys’ pass percentages—and the percentage-point gap—should not be quoted without checking the rendered table itself.
Pass percentage is the share of candidates in a reported group who passed. It compares exam outcomes; by itself, it does not explain why one group’s rate may be higher, or establish a broader educational trend.
Overall pass rate reported on result day
Jagran Josh’s result-day video description reports that 241,506 of 265,388 candidates passed, for an overall pass rate of 91.94%. These figures are from secondary reporting, not confirmed here against readable text in PSEB’s statistics PDF. They should therefore be attributed to Jagran Josh unless independently verified against the board document.

Top scores in PSEB’s merit list
PSEB’s official Merit List of Sr Secondary Examination 2025, also dated 14 May 2025, records the first-listed candidate with 500 out of 500 marks (100.00%) and the second-listed candidate with 498 out of 500 (99.60%). The PDF’s Punjabi text extraction does not reliably expose the names, so the scores are reported without spelling candidate names.

The PSEB official website is the board’s site and release index. Its current listings include later 2026 Senior Secondary results, so the May 2025 figures describe a past examination result, not the current result.
