The 297-post figure in the original title is not supported by these sources and should be corrected rather than treated as the vacancy count.
The same Punjab Police notice separately listed 2,340 Constable vacancies in the TSS cadre. That is a different recruitment post and should not be added to the Sub Inspector total.

The Punjab Police recruitment portal listed online applications opening at 09:00 on 9 September 2021 and closing at 11:59 p.m. on 10 October 2021. The window has passed; applications cannot be made under this historical recruitment notice.

When was the CBT scheduled?
A Punjab Police public notice scheduled the computer-based examination for 24–30 September 2022. This was the published schedule, not evidence that the examination was held on every listed date or that the recruitment process concluded then.
What did the selection process and eligibility involve?
