An unnamed Australian won a reported $5,251,280.07 in Australian Powerball draw 1540 on Thursday, 20 November 2025, according to PerthNow. The report came seven days after a Mandurah couple claimed a reported $50 million prize.

What were the Powerball numbers?

PerthNow listed the seven main numbers for draw 1540 as 19, 11, 12, 4, 29, 13 and 27, with Powerball 20. The figures are attributed to the news report; an official historical result for draw 1540 is not independently confirmed here.

Who won the reported $5.25 million prize?

PerthNow reported that the division-one winner was Australian but did not name the person. The report said the win followed five weeks without a division-one winner.

The story placed the win a week after a Mandurah couple claimed a reported $50 million prize. The previous winner was also unnamed in the article. PerthNow quoted the Mandurah winner saying, “I’ve always dreamed of being a stay-at-home dad and I can’t wait to make that a reality.”

How much did the winner actually take home?

PerthNow reported the prize as $5,251,280.07. That is the amount reported for the division-one win; the article does not establish a separate take-home figure after any personal financial decisions or costs.

The report also said there was no Western Australian division-two winner, while three division-two winners elsewhere in Australia received $105,774.20 each. It reported eight Western Australian division-three winners at $7,695.65 each. These draw-specific amounts have not been independently confirmed against an official draw record.

What does division one require?

The Lott describes Australian Powerball as a draw of seven main numbers from 35 and one Powerball from 20. Division one requires matching all seven main numbers and the Powerball. The game has nine prize divisions. See The Lott’s Powerball game information for its description of the game.

A reported jackpot win is an outcome, not evidence that lottery entries offer a dependable way to make money. Choosing particular numbers does not turn a ticket into an investment.
