For a concrete example, Poppi’s Doc Pop product page lists 30 calories, 5 grams of total sugar, 3 grams of fiber, and 40 mg of natural caffeine per can. Those figures are specific to Doc Pop; check the label on the exact flavor and package you’re considering.
What is Poppi soda?
Poppi is a packaged soda brand marketed around prebiotics, fruit juice, and apple cider vinegar. PepsiCo completed its acquisition of Poppi on May 19, 2025, and described the drinks as having no more than five grams of sugar per serving in its acquisition announcement. PepsiCo’s brand page also describes Poppi as containing prebiotics and 5 grams of sugar.
That broad brand description is not a substitute for an individual can’s nutrition label. Flavors and package versions can differ, and Poppi’s SmartLabel information cautions that displayed details may correspond to a different product version. The package label is the best reference for the can in your hand.

These flavor-specific values come from Poppi’s Doc Pop product page; they should not be treated as a nutrition table for every Poppi flavor. The page lists sparkling water, organic cane sugar, cassava root fiber, natural flavors, apple juice concentrate, organic apple cider vinegar, organic agave inulin, stevia leaf extract, tartaric acid, and natural caffeine among the ingredients.
When comparing drinks, look at the serving size and the nutrition panel on the exact can. Sugar, calories, fiber, caffeine, and ingredients can all affect whether a soda fits your budget, preferences, or dietary needs. No verified flavor-by-flavor comparison or current price survey is available here, so there is no evidence-based basis to name a best-value flavor or declare Poppi a better buy than another drink.

Does Poppi improve gut health?
Poppi contains ingredients it markets as prebiotic, but the presence of a prebiotic ingredient does not establish that drinking the soda will meaningfully improve an individual’s gut health. TIME’s reporting on expert views found limited research showing positive gut-microbiome changes from prebiotic sodas; the experts it covered pointed to fiber-rich foods such as fruits, vegetables, grains, and beans as better sources of prebiotics. The reviewed sources do not establish a meaningful clinical benefit from Poppi itself.
Poppi’s gut-health marketing has also been challenged in a consumer lawsuit. The Associated Press reported the plaintiff’s allegations and Poppi’s response that it stood by its products and considered the lawsuit baseless. The allegations concern claims about earlier marketing; they are not, by themselves, a court finding or proof that the soda does or does not produce a health effect. The amended complaint records what plaintiffs alleged, not independent verification of those claims.

What does Poppi taste like, and is it worth buying?
There is no firsthand taste test or verified current retail price available to support a reliable flavor ranking or value judgment. Taste is personal, and a product page cannot establish how a particular flavor compares with another soda. If you are deciding whether to buy it, check the flavor’s ingredient and nutrition label, consider the price per can at your retailer, and treat any gut-health benefit as unproven rather than part of the value calculation.
For a fair comparison with another beverage, compare the same serving basis across sugar, calories, dietary fiber, caffeine, ingredient list, taste, and price per can. Those are the relevant trade-offs; a claim such as “healthier” is too broad without specifying what you are comparing and what matters to you.
