Those facts do not show that the same people are switching networks—or explain why they might.
What Polkadot’s account figures do—and don’t—show
Polkadot’s official technical page reports growth across several account and activity measures for 2025. It lists 20.4 million unique accounts, 13.5 million new accounts, 520,000 cross-chain transfers and 12 million active accounts. The page reports increases of 54%, 48%, 26% and 4%, respectively. These are Polkadot-published figures, not independently audited counts of people; an account does not necessarily represent one distinct person. See Polkadot’s technical page.
Parity Data says its dashboard metrics are provided as-is and requests attribution to Parity DotLake. That caveat matters when interpreting the figures: an increase in accounts or transfers is not evidence that Polkadot users have adopted RETIK. Read Parity Data’s attribution and disclaimer.

Is Polkadot getting faster?
Parity Technologies’ 2025 roundup says a network migration reduced DOT transfer fees by a factor of 100 and lowered transaction times to two seconds. The roundup described 500 milliseconds as a future target at the time—not as an achieved measurement. It also refers to reliability-dashboard measurements. These are statements from Polkadot’s developer, and the material does not establish that faster or cheaper transactions caused account growth. Read Parity Technologies’ 2025 roundup.
Polkadot’s technical page says, “Most networks slow down as they grow. This one speeds up.” That is the project’s own characterization, not an independent comparison of network performance. Polkadot’s technical page.

What Retik Finance says it offers
Retik’s homepage identifies RETIK as an Ethereum ERC-20 token and describes an ecosystem that includes a non-custodial wallet, swap aggregator, debit cards, payment gateway, lending and trading features. These are first-party descriptions, not independent confirmation of product availability, security or use. The homepage also displays a token contract address. See Retik Finance’s website.
Retik’s whitepaper outlines planned milestones through Q4 2026, including wallet testing, desktop services, virtual and physical cards, merchant services and Retik Pay. A roadmap records intended milestones; it does not confirm that a service has launched. Retik’s homepage was last available in a stale crawl, so check the project’s current materials before relying on any service-status claim. Read the Retik whitepaper.

Why the headline’s migration claim is not established
Polkadot and Retik are not directly comparable using the figures available here. One set of figures measures Polkadot account and network activity; Retik’s official materials describe a token and services. The sources provide no comparable Retik user measure, no independently collected count of people moving between the projects, and no evidence that Polkadot’s performance changes caused users to choose Retik.
Retik’s presale page has reported 400 million tokens sold, $32.05 million raised, 30,245 holders and a $0.15 launch price. The page was crawled about 2.6 years before October 2026, so these are stale historical page claims—not current holder, fundraising or market figures. They cannot establish present adoption or a flow of Polkadot users to RETIK. See Retik’s presale page.

What to check before drawing a conclusion
- Metric: Is the claim about accounts, active accounts, token holders, transactions or verified people? These are not interchangeable.
- Date: Does the source report a defined period, or is an older page being presented as current?
- Source: Is the figure published by the project, its developer or an independent data provider?
- Performance: Is a speed figure a measured result or a target? Keep the time and qualification attached to it.
- Product status: Does a source document a live service, or only describe it or list it on a roadmap?
- Migration: Does the evidence track the same users across both projects? None of the cited figures does.
Risks and practical caution
Retik’s terms warn that token values can fluctuate and that buyers may lose value. They also say the site’s material is general information, not advice, and may not be accurate, complete or current. Treat promotional descriptions and roadmap schedules accordingly; verify current product and token information independently before making a financial decision. Read Retik’s terms.
