Marco D’Aquino’s Osborne Park “fire sale” was a free collection event, not a retail sale. PerthNow reported on 17 December 2025 that he opened a warehouse at 1 Baden Street so visitors could take second-hand furniture and other household goods at no cost. The event’s collection dates have passed; the report does not establish any current public access or availability.
What was the Osborne Park fire sale?
Despite the “fire sale” wording, the event was a Christmas giveaway. PerthNow reported that a Facebook Marketplace listing priced the goods at $0 and invited people to collect them. D’Aquino said the warehouse had excess stock and he wanted to give items away over the Christmas period.
The report identified D’Aquino as the owner of rubbish-removal business 1-800-GOTJUNK and manager of Reused or Recycled Perth. He described the reuse effort this way: “We have a team of people that collect unwanted items… instead of going to landfill, we try to give a second chance and try to repurpose a lot of items that we collect.” That is the approach he described to PerthNow, rather than an independently assessed account of the operation.
Where and when did people collect items?
The warehouse was at 1 Baden Street, Osborne Park. When PerthNow published its report on 17 December 2025, the listed public hours were Wednesday and Thursday, 10am to 7pm, and the listing asked people to collect by Thursday. Those dates have passed and are not current opening hours.

How many people attended?
D’Aquino told PerthNow that more than 600 people had visited. He said he had expected 50 to 100. The figure is his reported count, not an independently verified attendance tally.
