The July 1 registration date was not the final schedule for OSSSC’s 2024 district-cadre teacher recruitment. A June 12, 2024 report gave an interim registration window of July 1–25; a later update on July 1 said registration and re-registration had been deferred to August 1–25, 2024. Those dates have passed. For current recruitment notices, use the official OSSSC portal.
What changed in the 2024 OSSSC teacher recruitment schedule?
The recruitment was for district-cadre teacher posts in government schools under Odisha’s ST & SC Development, M & BCW Department. OSSSC’s 2024 detailed advertisement covered 2,629 posts. [c002]
| Update | Registration schedule reported | What it meant |
|---|---|---|
| June 12, 2024 report | July 1–25, 2024 | An interim schedule; the report said the prior window had been June 12–July 7. [c003] |
| July 1, 2024 update | August 1–25, 2024 | A later deferment, linked to OSSSC’s official notice. [c004] [c005] |
For anyone searching “OSSSC teacher application date 2024,” the key correction is that July 1 was only the start of the interim window reported on June 12. The later announced registration period began August 1, 2024.
Did registration complete the application?
No. OSSSC’s detailed advertisement distinguished registration or re-registration from submission of the online application. Registering within the stated window was not, by itself, confirmation that a completed application had been submitted. The advertisement is the source for the recruitment’s application process.
