What is confirmed about OSSC CGL registration?
A secondary indexed copy titled “Notification OSSC Combined Graduate Level Posts” reports that online registration begins January 3, but its excerpt does not securely establish the relevant year or advertisement number. It is not enough to confirm that the date applies to the CGLRE-2023 cycle.
The official OSSC portal is the appropriate place to check the original advertisement, application link, corrigenda and extensions. Its current recruitment listings include CGLRE activity for the 2025 cycle; that does not verify the historical January 3 claim.
Why the October 2023 dates are different
A reproduced Detailed Advertisement No. 4004/OSSC is dated October 7, 2023, and identifies the Combined Graduate Level Recruitment Examination (CGLRE)-2023 for Group-B and Group-C posts and services under Odisha government departments. It gives this registration period:

- Registration closed: November 11, 2023.
Those dates belong to that specific CGLRE-2023 advertisement, not to the unidentified January 3 notice. The advertisement copy is reproduced rather than hosted as the original by OSSC: Detailed Advertisement No. 4004/OSSC.
How to verify the right notice before applying
- Open the official OSSC website and locate the relevant CGL or CGLRE advertisement.
- Check the advertisement number, notice date and cycle name; do not rely on “CGL 2023” alone to identify a registration window.
- Read the original notice and any later corrigenda or extensions for the registration and application-submission dates.
- Use the application link and instructions provided by OSSC for that exact notice.
Do not infer eligibility, vacancies, fees or selection stages from the January 3 excerpt: it does not securely identify the advertisement. Those details need to be checked in the matching official notice.

Odisha government recruitment records also include Combined Recruitment Examination-2023 material associated with OSSSC. That is a separate recruitment stream; check the commission acronym and advertisement before treating an archive entry as an OSSC CGL notice. The Government of Odisha archive may help locate records, but its OSSSC entries do not establish the January 3 OSSC date.
