What eligibility did the notice specify?
The stated age range was 21 to 30 years, assessed as of 1 December 2024, with applicable upper-age relaxations. The education requirement was graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification, with English as a subject at one of the specified education levels. The qualifying examination had to be completed by 1 December 2024.

These are headline requirements, not a guarantee of eligibility. Nationality, category, certificates, relaxations and other conditions are set out in the full NIACL advertisement; applicants would need to meet the applicable detailed terms.
What was the selection process and exam schedule?
The advertised process included two online examinations, followed by a Regional Language Test for candidates who qualified in the pre-recruitment tests. The notice marked the schedule tentative.

| Stage | Advertised date or sequence |
|---|---|
| Tier I Preliminary online examination | 27 January 2025 |
| Tier II Main online examination | 2 March 2025 |
| Regional Language Test | After qualifying in the pre-recruitment tests |
Both scheduled exam dates have passed. The notice also stated that candidates should apply online only and select one state or union territory.
What application fee was reported?
Scroll’s deadline-day report stated a fee of ₹100 for SC/ST/PwBD/EXS applicants and ₹850 for applicants in other categories. These figures are attributed to that contemporaneous report; consult the official advertisement for the recruitment’s authoritative terms. Scroll’s article is available at NIACL recruitment 2024: Application for 500 Assistant posts ends today. One sentence in that report appears to give the deadline year incorrectly as 2024; the official notice gives 1 January 2025.
