Crumbl cookie-sculpture giveaway
Crumbl’s August 2, 2023 release described ten large cookie sculptures. Representatives distributed free mini Milk Chocolate Chip cookies at each sculpture from noon until supplies ran out. The promotion was tied to those events; it was not a free-cookie offer at every Crumbl store. Crumbl also said customers would earn double Loyalty Crumbs on purchases in store and through its app. See Crumbl’s event announcement.
What “free cookie” meant in practice
The offers did not share one set of terms. A free item could depend on buying an entrée or spending a minimum amount, joining a rewards program, ordering through a particular channel, visiting a specific location, or arriving before supplies ran out. Other offers required a code or applied only to particular products or order dates. Check the individual terms rather than treating “free” as a guarantee of a no-purchase giveaway.
The reported deals are expired. They do not establish what any business is offering now; confirm current promotions and participating locations directly with the merchant.

DoubleTree announced an allergy-friendly cookie
On August 4, 2023, Hilton announced that DoubleTree would add a soft chocolate chip cookie made with Partake Foods alongside its original cookie. Hilton described the new cookie as gluten-free, non-GMO and vegan, and as free of the top nine allergens: wheat, tree nuts, peanuts, milk, eggs, soy, fish, sesame and shellfish. The release said individually wrapped cookies were made in a dedicated facility free of those nine allergens. Those are Hilton’s descriptions of the product announced in 2023, not a guarantee about present-day packaging or availability; check current packaging and ask the location before relying on it for dietary needs. Read Hilton’s announcement.
Hilton also reported that DoubleTree served more than 19 million cookies in 2022. That is a company-reported figure for DoubleTree cookies in that year, not a measure of cookie sales generally. In the release, Hilton Chief Brand Officer Matt Schuyler said: “With DoubleTree by Hilton’s allergy-friendly cookie, we’re reshaping the concept of hospitality to be more inclusive and considerate.” This is the company’s stated view of the launch.
