Mutuum Finance’s “nears $20M raised” headline is now dated: the project made that claim in January 2026, then reported more than $20.8 million in March. As of October 8, 2026, Mutuum’s official website displayed a $26,229,392.71 fundraising counter and a Phase 7 MUTM price of $0.04. Those are project-reported figures, not independently verified totals, and the phase price is not evidence of a future market value or return.

What the $20 million headline means now

On January 20, 2026, Mutuum Finance announced through GlobeNewswire that its presale was nearing $20 million and described Phase 7 at $0.04. The wording in the headline reflects that dated project announcement, not the latest displayed total. Mutuum’s January 20 announcement

On March 17, 2026, the project said it had raised more than $20.8 million and sold over 850 million tokens. On October 8, 2026, its official site displayed $26,229,392.71 raised and listed MUTM at $0.04 in Phase 7. Each figure comes from the project; no independently published accounting verification was identified. The counter can change, so check the live site rather than treating the October figure as current indefinitely. Mutuum’s March 17 announcement · Mutuum Finance official website

What Mutuum says the protocol is designed to do

Mutuum describes itself as a non-custodial liquidity protocol. Under its stated model, users supply crypto assets to shared pools, while borrowers take overcollateralized loans from those pools. Lending and borrowing rates adjust according to pool utilization. These are descriptions of intended mechanics, not proof that a functioning product is available on mainnet. The materials cited here do not establish whether the protocol is live on mainnet or provide independently reviewed deployment details. Project announcements discuss testnet and audit milestones, but neither milestone by itself demonstrates that users can safely access a live lending product. Verify deployment status and any relevant audit information directly before relying on the protocol.

What the $0.04 “discount phase” does—and does not—tell buyers

The $0.04 figure is the Phase 7 presale price displayed by the project. Mutuum’s announcement frames the sale as discounted against a project-stated launch price. That comparison is only a comparison with the project’s stated figure: it does not establish that MUTM will list or trade at that price, that buyers can sell at a profit, or that the token is undervalued.

A presale price also does not tell a buyer how easy it will be to transfer or sell tokens, what market liquidity may exist, or what risks apply to the token and protocol. Treat the purchase as a high-risk crypto investment and consider whether you can afford to lose the entire amount.

Token supply and planned vesting

Mutuum’s token-allocation documentation states a total supply of 4 billion MUTM and assigns 45.5% to the presale. The documentation describes a six-month vesting schedule as planned; that wording does not establish that vesting has been implemented. Check the current token contract and authoritative project documentation for the actual release rules before assuming when purchased tokens can be transferred or sold. Checks to make before connecting a wallet or paying

  1. Confirm the domain. The project identifies mutuum.com as its only official domain and warns about impersonators. Navigate to the address yourself rather than trusting unsolicited links or social-media replies. Mutuum Finance official website
  2. Check the live sale terms. Confirm the displayed phase, price, payment assets, allocation limits, and any sale conditions on the official site immediately before acting; a counter or phase can change.
  3. Verify what you are buying. Review the token contract address, transfer restrictions, vesting implementation, and network details through authoritative sources. Do not treat a project-stated launch price as a guaranteed resale price.
  4. Assess protocol status separately from presale claims. Look for verifiable deployment information and audit scope, including which contracts and versions were reviewed. An audit, where one exists, does not eliminate smart-contract, market, or investment risk.
  5. Protect wallet credentials. Never share a seed phrase or private key, and do not approve a transaction whose destination, permissions, or amount you do not understand.
