The holiday deal in the headline was a past offer, not a current price: Windows Central reported on December 23, 2025, that the PC Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition bundle was $21.99 at Amazon.com, down from $29.99. The offer was scheduled to end January 8, 2026. The sources available here do not establish a 2026 holiday discount.
Is Minecraft on sale for the holidays?
The headline refers to a holiday promotion reported in 2025. Windows Central’s December 23, 2025 article said Mojang Studios had discounted Minecraft on multiple platforms, but the specific PC price it listed was an Amazon.com offer and was scheduled to end January 8, 2026. That offer has expired; its price should not be treated as a live quote. Windows Central’s report

No 2026 holiday base-game sale or price is established by the sources cited here. Minecraft’s official 2026 promotion was a Summer Marketplace Sale, running from 10 a.m. PT June 30 to 10 a.m. PT July 28, 2026. It covered Marketplace content, including limited-time doorbusters; the add-ons required Bedrock Edition, sold separately. It was not a holiday sale of the base game. Does Minecraft ever go on sale?
Past promotions show that Minecraft discounts can vary by platform, region, and product. For its 15th anniversary, Minecraft advertised discounts of up to 50% on Minecraft games and up to 70% on Android and iOS, while noting that discounts could vary by region or platform. That 2024 promotion is historical and does not confirm any current or upcoming offer. Minecraft: Minecraft is turning 15

Check the store for the platform and region where you intend to play before budgeting around a discount. A sale on Marketplace add-ons, a mobile version, a console collection, or a PC bundle does not necessarily mean the same offer applies to another product.
