MPESB applications for the Secondary Teacher and related posts began on January 28, 2025, according to Scroll. The headline’s “today” referred to that publication date—not today. The initially reported closing date was February 16, 2025, but subsequent coverage reported an extension, so that first deadline was not the final one. The 2025 application window has passed; check MPESB’s official notices for current recruitment.
When did MPESB Secondary Teacher applications begin?
Scroll’s January 28, 2025 report said online applications would open that day and initially remain open through February 16, 2025. Scroll later reported an extension on February 12, and its archive lists later coverage about the application ending and reopening in March. Do not rely on February 16 as the final deadline: the original window changed.

Scroll described posts across the Madhya Pradesh School Education Department and Tribal Affairs Department. Its report listed these categories:

Scroll reported a total of 10,758 posts. Treat that as the report’s headline figure, not an independently confirmed post-wise vacancy count; verify the official notification before relying on a breakdown or eligibility conditions.
What application fee did Scroll report?
Scroll reported a fee of Rs 500 for unreserved candidates and Rs 250 for SC/ST/OBC/EWS and Divyaangjan candidates who were Madhya Pradesh natives. It also reported a Rs 60 MP Online kiosk charge for applications submitted through a kiosk. Check the relevant official rulebook for the fee and category conditions before making a payment.

How to check for a current MPESB recruitment
- Open the MPESB official notice board and find the notice for the recruitment year and post you are considering.
- Confirm the department and post category, then check the notice’s application dates, eligibility, fee, selection information, and examination schedule. Do not assume these details match the 2025 announcement.
- If the notice directs you to apply, use the MPESB/MPOnline application portal and follow the instructions for that specific recruitment.
A separate teacher eligibility test notice listed on MPESB’s notice board in 2026 is not evidence that applications for the 2025 teacher recruitment remain open. The original recruitment notification is needed to confirm authoritative post-wise vacancies, qualifications, age limits, reservation rules, selection stages, and final dates; do not infer them from the headline or the initial report.
