Malaysia Airlines’ reported Business Class promotion was a February 2025 offer, not a deal established as available today. A report published by The West Australian on February 12, 2025, said the airline was offering up to 20 per cent off Business Class fares, with an additional five per cent discount for Enrich members or people who joined the program for free. The report did not provide the booking deadline or other terms needed to confirm who could use the offer.
What the February 2025 Business Class deal offered
The West Australian reported on February 12, 2025, that Malaysia Airlines’ “Time for Premium Leisure” campaign offered up to 20 per cent off Business Class fares. It also reported an additional five per cent discount for Enrich members and people willing to sign up for the free loyalty program. These are terms as reported at that time; the article does not establish that the promotion remains available.
The report quoted Dersenish Aresandiran, Malaysia Aviation Group chief commercial officer of airlines, describing the carrier’s aim of making premium travel comfortable and exclusive. That is the airline executive’s promotional statement, not an independent assessment of the cabin.
What the report does not establish
The available report does not state the offer’s booking deadline, travel dates, eligible routes, exact fares, fare rules, seat availability, or other restrictions. It also does not explain whether the extra five per cent applied to a particular fare base or could be combined with other offers. Without those details, the reported maximum discount is not enough to calculate a ticket price or determine eligibility.

Reported airport and transit benefits
The article associated Business Class with lounge access and fast-track airport services, and mentioned Mercedes-Benz private transfers for passengers travelling through Terminal 1 at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. It did not spell out the eligibility conditions for these services, so the report alone cannot confirm which passengers or itineraries qualify.
For passengers transiting through Kuala Lumpur, the article also mentioned Malaysia Airlines’ Bonus Side Trip, described as allowing a visit to one of seven Malaysian destinations at no extra cost. The available text does not name those destinations or set out the program’s terms.

How to interpret the offer now
Because the report dates from February 12, 2025, it should be treated as a record of a past promotion rather than evidence of a current sale. Anyone considering a Malaysia Airlines booking should check the airline’s current fare and promotion terms for their route and dates. The historical report does not support a comparison with today’s fares or a claim that this was the best available deal.
