The available sources do not confirm that KeyStocks Lite connects to Zerodha accounts or Kite data, so treat them as separate tools unless both vendors verify an integrated workflow.
What is the difference between KeyStocks Lite and Zerodha Kite?
| Question | KeyStocks Lite | Zerodha Kite |
|---|---|---|
| Documented role | Analysis software for charting, market analytics, and trading-system development, as described by its vendor. KeyStocks product page | Zerodha’s web and mobile trading platform. Kite product page |
| Documented features | Vendor pages list charts, indicator scanning, buy/sell signals, chart-pattern and trend-line scans, and automatic trend lines and support/resistance. These are vendor-described features, not independently tested here. Legacy product listing Legacy scanner feature page | Zerodha lists instrument search, charting, GTT orders, baskets, alerts, nudges, and mobile access. Kite product page |
| Can it place trades through Zerodha? | Not established by the reviewed sources. | Kite is Zerodha’s trading environment; Zerodha describes it as its flagship platform. Zerodha products |
| Current KeyStocks price, data source, and system requirements | Not established by the reviewed sources. | Charges and account terms should be checked on Zerodha’s current pages; this comparison does not establish a fee comparison. |
In practical terms, Kite is the documented option here for trading through Zerodha, while KeyStocks Lite is presented as a tool for technical analysis and scanning. That distinction does not establish whether the products can be used together.
What analysis features does KeyStocks Lite describe?
KeyStocks’ product information presents Lite as an application for advanced charting, market analytics, and trading-system development. Its feature descriptions include indicator scans and signal-oriented tools, as well as scans for chart patterns and trend lines. It also lists automatic trend lines and support/resistance features. Those descriptions explain the vendor’s claimed feature set; they do not independently establish how well the tools work or what markets and data feeds they currently support.
The KeyStocks pages reviewed say the business has moved to a replacement domain. Because the listed pages are legacy material, confirm that the product, features, and access method remain current with the vendor before relying on them.

What can you do in Zerodha Kite?
Zerodha presents Kite as a web and mobile platform for trading workflows. Its product page lists instrument search, charting, GTT orders, baskets, alerts, nudges, and mobile access. Zerodha’s account-start guide says users can download Kite for Android and iOS or visit kite.zerodha.com; it also directs users to the platform manual and charges information. Can you use KeyStocks Lite with Zerodha Kite?
That compatibility is not established by the sources reviewed. They do not confirm that KeyStocks Lite can access Zerodha account data, use Kite market data, send orders to Zerodha, or otherwise integrate with Kite. Do not assume that the two products work together based only on their roles as analysis software and a trading platform.
Before planning a combined workflow, ask KeyStocks and Zerodha specifically about account connectivity, data sourcing, order execution, and any API or subscription requirements. Zerodha’s Kite Connect API FAQ explains Zerodha’s API offering, but it does not establish KeyStocks Lite compatibility. Kite Connect API FAQ

How much does KeyStocks Lite cost?
A current KeyStocks Lite price and current subscription terms were not established. The older KeyStocks pages mention “free for first Week,” but that wording is not enough to establish a current offer, ongoing price, or renewal terms. Confirm the price, trial conditions, billing frequency, cancellation terms, and any data charges directly with the vendor before subscribing.
This article does not compare total costs: current KeyStocks pricing is unverified, and Zerodha directs users to current charges information. Use Zerodha’s official charges page before estimating account or trading costs.

Which platform should you choose?
- Choose Kite for the documented Zerodha trading workflow: Zerodha identifies it as its trading platform and lists order-related tools alongside search, charts, and alerts.
- Consider KeyStocks Lite if you specifically need its described analysis and scanning tools: verify the current product, feature availability, data source, and system requirements with the vendor first.
- Do not choose on the assumption of integration: confirm compatibility directly if you need analysis in KeyStocks Lite to connect to a Zerodha account or lead to trades in Kite.
The evidence supports evaluating these products by different roles, not ranking them as interchangeable alternatives. Whether using both is practical depends on current vendor-confirmed compatibility, data arrangements, and costs.
