No. Stripe is privately held, not publicly traded on a stock exchange. Its February 2026 announcement described a private tender offer that gave current and former employees a way to sell shares; it did not announce an IPO or make Stripe shares available for public trading.
What Stripe’s latest tender offer means
On February 24, 2026, Stripe said it had signed agreements with investors for a tender offer providing liquidity to current and former employees. The transaction valued Stripe at $159 billion (€135 billion), and Stripe said it would use some of its own capital to repurchase shares. Stripe’s announcement describes a private share transaction, not an exchange listing.
A tender-offer valuation is not a public stock price. It is a valuation associated with a specific private transaction; it does not mean anyone can buy Stripe shares through a regular brokerage account or that the company has begun trading on a stock exchange.
How the tender valuation compares with the prior offer
| Announcement | Transaction | Valuation |
|---|---|---|
| February 24, 2026 | Tender offer for current and former employees; Stripe said it would also repurchase shares using some of its capital | $159 billion (€135 billion), according to Stripe |
| February 27, 2025 | Earlier tender offer for current and former employees | $91.5 billion (€87.3 billion), according to Stripe |
These are dated private-transaction valuations, not public-market prices or a measure of what an individual investor could pay for shares. Stripe’s 2025 announcement describes the earlier offer: Stripe’s February 2025 tender-offer announcement.

Does Stripe have an IPO date?
The company announcements cited here do not establish an IPO date or plan. They also do not show that Stripe will never go public. Without an announcement from the company, claims that an IPO is planned, imminent, or ruled out are speculation.
What Stripe does—and what its size does not tell you
Stripe describes itself as a programmable financial services company. Its products cover payments and related services such as billing, tax, fraud prevention, treasury, and card issuing. That breadth does not determine whether its shares trade publicly.
