Jake Paul did not disclose an exact dollar amount for the proposed Gervonta “Tank” Davis fight. He was quoted as calling the payday “NFL quarterback money”; Operation Sports interpreted that as roughly $50 million and separately reported a roughly $10 million guaranteed purse. Those are the outlet’s estimates, not an officially disclosed purse—and the fight was canceled before it happened, so Paul did not collect the reported payday.
What was Jake Paul’s reported payday?
Operation Sports reported that Paul described the planned fight payday as “NFL quarterback money.” The outlet characterized the overall payday as around $50 million and reported a guarantee of around $10 million. Neither figure is established by an official purse filing in the sources reviewed, and the report does not verify how any streaming-related compensation would have been calculated.
Operation Sports attributed this remark to Paul speaking on an Adin Ross livestream: “People are like, $200 million! But boxing is not like that anymore. But, still, it’s a lot of money. It’s NFL quarterback money.” The quotation does not itself name a dollar amount. The outlet did not provide an official transcript, and the original full livestream recording was not located, so the wording and figures should be treated as attributed reporting rather than a verified purse disclosure. What the reported figures do—and don’t—mean
- Around $50 million: Operation Sports’ characterization of the prospective payday, not an official amount disclosed by Paul or confirmed in a purse filing.
- Around $10 million guaranteed: Operation Sports’ report of a proposed guarantee, not an independently confirmed contract figure.
- No confirmed final payment: The available reporting does not establish a signed contract amount, commission-reported purse, final payment, or exact split between guaranteed pay and streaming-related compensation.
Did the Paul–Davis fight happen?
No. Kaseya Center announced on September 17, 2025, that Paul and Davis were scheduled to meet at the Miami venue on November 14, with a global Netflix stream planned. Netflix and Most Valuable Promotions announced on November 4, 2025, that they would not move forward with the matchup. The Associated Press reported the cancellation after a civil lawsuit was filed against Davis in Miami-Dade County. The proposed event did not take place or stream.
