KOLO announced a crypto wallet paired with a payment-card proposition on May 22, 2025. Its current product page says customers can spend crypto through a card, with conversion to local currency at payment, and use Apple Pay or Google Pay. Those are company claims—not proof that every feature is available in every country, or that a particular reader can get a card.
What KOLO announced
KOLO’s May 2025 launch announcement described a wallet and debit-card service intended to let people spend digital assets in everyday transactions. It named Mastercard and Visa acceptance and described custodial and non-custodial options, fiat on- and off-ramps, and AI-assisted exchange routing as part of the product direction. Because the announcement used future-oriented wording for some capabilities, it should not be read as confirmation that every announced feature is currently live. The announcement was carried in a syndicated item; its executive quote should be understood as an attributed launch statement, not a separately verified interview.

What KOLO currently says the product does
KOLO’s current product page presents the service as an app for spending, sending, and banking. It says crypto is converted to local currency when a customer pays, names BTC, ETH, and USDC as examples, and says customers can pay using Apple Pay or Google Pay. Its FAQ also says card top-ups can use assets including BTC, ETH, LTC, and USDT, and describes a built-in exchange and support for seven blockchain networks. Does “worldwide” mean you can get a card?
Not necessarily. KOLO’s current page claims its card works in more than 170 countries and describes acceptance wherever Apple Pay or Google Pay is accepted. The launch announcement also used broad “worldwide” language. These claims address reach or payment acceptance, but do not provide a complete list of countries where residents can apply for and receive a card. - A complete list of supported assets and blockchain networks.
- The applicable custody and recovery arrangements for a specific account or card.
KOLO’s page describes Sumsub-powered KYC, real-time AML checks, two-factor authentication, and uses “MiCA compliant” and Travel Rule language. These statements are company descriptions; on their own they do not establish regulatory authorization, the card issuer, the custody model, or independent security-audit results. - Eligibility: Confirm that KOLO issues cards to residents of your country, rather than relying only on a global reach claim.
- Issuer and network: Verify the card issuer and the payment network that apply to your card.
- Conversion and fees: Find the exchange rate methodology, conversion charges, spending fees, and any other applicable costs in current terms.
- Limits: Check spending, top-up, cash-withdrawal, and transfer limits, if applicable.
- Assets and custody: Confirm your exact asset and network are supported and understand how your funds are held, recovered, or accessed.
- Wallet payments and security: Confirm Apple Pay or Google Pay availability for your device and region, and review the account-protection and dispute procedures.
KOLO’s user and network figures
KOLO’s current page advertises 10 million app users, but provides no methodology or independent verification for that promotional figure. It also states that the product supports seven blockchain networks without listing a complete independently verifiable network roster in the reviewed material.
