What is the venue like?
Three Pound Group and Lion announced the venue as a partnership at Nine The Esplanade and described it as an extension of the longstanding relationship between Three Pound Group and Little Creatures. The partners announced more than 500 square metres of indoor space and 390 square metres of alfresco areas, with a central bar, dining spaces and screens. These are figures and features from the opening announcement, not independent measurements.

Three Pound Group general manager Tim McLernon told PerthNow: “We didn’t want to recreate Fremantle.” He added: “That venue has its own character. We’ve created something with the Little Creatures DNA, but definitely a more corporate, CBD version.” The comments describe the operator’s intended distinction between the two venues, rather than a quality comparison.

The partners’ opening announcement listed share plates, pub classics, stone-baked pizzas, seasonal salads, grill dishes, desserts and family-friendly options. It also presented local produce, live sport, music and community events as part of the venue concept.
