The application window for Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) Sub-Inspector recruitment 2024 is closed. Notification No. 02 of 2024 advertised 669 posts in the J&K Police Home Department, with online applications accepted from 3 December 2024 through 2 January 2025. There is no basis to treat the old application link as open; check JKSSB’s official notices for any later update.
Is the JKSSB SI 2024 application open?
No. The deadline for the 669-post recruitment was 2 January 2025. The “closes today” wording sometimes associated with this recruitment is outdated. Do not use an old application link as if it were active.
JKSSB’s notices index lists a later notice titled “Notice regarding ‘Pending Payment’.” That listing does not establish that applications reopened, who is eligible to take action, or whether a deadline or final selection outcome has been announced. If you have a pending-payment issue, read the full notice on the official JKSSB notices page and follow its instructions. Do not assume the notice applies to new applicants.

The notice describes category-based shortlisting for the physical standard test (PST); PST and physical endurance test (PET) were qualifying stages, followed by medical examination.
Rank #2
- Written exam: Objective-type questions in English. The notice assigned negative marking of one-fourth of the marks for each wrong answer and provided bonus marks for NCC certificates.
- PST and PET: Candidates who met the applicable shortlisting requirements proceeded to physical standards and endurance checks. The notification specifies different physical measurements and endurance tasks, including race and strength requirements; use the figures for your category and sex in the official notice.
- Medical examination: This followed the qualifying physical stages.
JKSSB also listed a Sub-Inspector, Home Department syllabus notice dated 26 December 2024, identified with Notification No. 02 of 2024. Anyone preparing for a future recruitment should use the board’s syllabus and any later official updates, rather than assume this exam pattern will carry over unchanged.
