What is Kim Kardashian’s Nike deal?
Nike announced NikeSKIMS as a new brand for women, combining Nike’s sport, product and athlete expertise with SKIMS’s focus on style and fit. Nike named Kardashian as SKIMS co-founder and chief creative officer. The announcement does not specify a deal value, Kardashian’s compensation, or any personal payout. Nike’s announcement establishes the brand and her role, but not the financial terms.
That distinction matters for a personal-finance headline: a high-profile partnership does not by itself establish how much an individual earned or how it changed her wealth. The cited company announcements provide no figure for either.
What does NikeSKIMS sell?
Nike’s January 27, 2026 announcement said the Spring ’26 collection would be available from February 5, 2026, through Nike, SKIMS and select partner retail locations across North America, Europe and the Middle East. The release named five apparel material collections and introduced footwear. Nike’s product announcement describes the features below; these are the company’s descriptions, not independent product testing.

The launch announcement had initially described a Spring 2025 product launch and planned global expansion in 2026. The later product announcement gives a specific Spring ’26 release date and identifies its stated regions and sales channels; it does not establish availability in every market or at every retailer.
Why did adidas end its partnership with Ye?
On October 25, 2022, adidas announced that it was ending its partnership with Ye immediately. The company said it would stop Yeezy production and payments to Ye and his companies, citing his recent comments and actions. Adidas described them as “unacceptable, hateful and dangerous.” Read adidas’s termination announcement as the company’s stated rationale, rather than an independent assessment.

Adidas forecast that ending the partnership could have a short-term negative impact of up to €250 million on its 2022 net income, citing fourth-quarter seasonality. That was adidas’s contemporaneous forecast for its own net income—not a payment to Ye, an estimate of his personal loss, or a current financial measure. Adidas also said it was the sole owner of design rights to existing products and prior and new colorways under the partnership; that statement is adidas’s position, not independent legal analysis.

The announcements concern different companies, partners and years: adidas ended its partnership with Ye in 2022, while Nike and SKIMS announced NikeSKIMS as a women’s activewear brand. The available company announcements do not say NikeSKIMS replaced Yeezy or that adidas’s decision prompted Nike’s partnership. Nor do they disclose comparable contract values or compensation for Kardashian and Ye. Treating the two events as a direct business response or equivalent deal would go beyond what these sources establish.
