Before their April 12, 2025 fight, media estimates put Jaron Ennis’s purse at about $2.5 million and Eimantas Stanionis’s at about $1.8 million, for a reported $4.3 million total. Those were estimates—not confirmed contract figures—and promoter Eddie Hearn later said Stanionis was paid more than Ennis. The available reporting does not establish either boxer’s final take-home pay.
What were the reported purses?

The estimates imply that Ennis would receive about $700,000 more than Stanionis, but that is only the arithmetic of the reported figures. It is not a verified accounting of what either boxer was contractually owed.
Why do the estimates conflict with Eddie Hearn’s statement?
In post-fight comments reported by LRT, promoter Eddie Hearn said Stanionis had been paid more than Ennis. LRT also quoted Ennis as saying he took less money so Stanionis would receive more and agree to fight him. That account conflicts with the relative amounts in the Sportskeeda estimates repeated by LRT. The reporting does not provide the contracts or a confirmed breakdown that resolves the discrepancy, so neither claim should be presented as a final, verified purse split. LRT’s post-fight report.
Are those amounts what the boxers took home?
No. The figures are reported gross purse estimates, not net earnings. LRT noted that taxes would be deducted, and the cited reporting does not establish the fighters’ tax bills, other deductions, or final payments. Without public contracts and accounting details, there is no reliable take-home comparison.

Ennis and Stanionis met at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on April 12, 2025, in an IBF, WBA and Ring Magazine welterweight unification bout. New Jersey’s athletic commission records it as a 12-round title fight and lists Ennis as the winner by TKO in round six during the rest period.
