LEGO’s first Pokémon collection launched on February 27, 2026, with three 18+ display builds. The largest, Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise (set 72153), has 6,838 pieces and an official US launch price of US$649.99. TechRadar reported its Australian launch price as AU$999.99—nearly $1,000 in Australia, not a universal price.

What the nearly $1,000 LEGO Pokémon set includes

Set 72153 brings together brick-built Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise. LEGO says the three figures are articulated and can be displayed separately or together on a themed action base with hidden Easter eggs. The set is rated 18+ and contains 6,838 pieces.

LEGO’s announced launch prices were US$649.99, €649.99 and £579.99. The AU$999.99 figure was reported by TechRadar as the Australian launch price; it is a market-specific reported price, not a global price or a statement of current retailer pricing.

How the first three sets compare

LEGO and The Pokémon Company International announced the first wave on January 12, 2026, for release February 27. LEGO labels all three builds 18+.

What to check before buying

  • Use the set number. It distinguishes the large three-Pokémon build, 72153, from the two other original sets and the later releases.
  • Check local pricing. The announced US, euro and pound prices differ; the Australian figure is secondary reporting. A launch price is not necessarily today’s retail price.
  • Check stock in your market. LEGO named LEGO.com, LEGO Stores and selected retailers as launch channels; the Pokémon Company also cited Pokémon Center in specified markets. An announced release date does not confirm current availability.
  • Choose by build and display format, not piece count alone. The sets range from a single posable Eevee to a large three-figure display, and their prices reflect different products; the piece total by itself does not establish value or quality.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
