The current NVS admission portals are showing 2027–28 registration, not an admit-card download link. As of 8 October 2026, the Class IX portal lists an application deadline extended to 15 October 2026. NVS has not established the 2027–28 exam date or admit-card release date in the sources available here. The headline’s “Class 10th” wording is also misleading: the reported Lateral Entry Selection Test (LEST) admit cards are for Classes IX and XI, not Class X.
Official JNVST LEST portals for 2027–28
Use the portal for the candidate’s class and admission cycle. These NVS links currently lead to 2027–28 application pages:
- Official NVS Class IX Lateral Entry Admission portal
- Official NVS Class XI Lateral Entry Admission portal
The retrieved Class IX page shows registration-related options, including printing a registration form and finding a registration number, and gives 15 October 2026 as the extended application deadline. It does not show an admit-card download action. That describes the page retrieved; it does not prove that no candidate account or later notice could provide one.
How to check for your admit card
- Open the official NVS portal for the candidate’s class using the links above.
- Confirm that the page is for the correct admission cycle, then follow the instructions currently displayed for registered candidates.
- If an admit-card option appears, use the candidate’s own application details to access and download the document. Do not rely on an old download link or assume that a past cycle’s interface still applies.
- After downloading, check the name, class, exam date, reporting time and examination-centre details against the document and the official notice.
NVS’s Class IX prospectus for the 2026–27 cycle says admit cards are made available on a date decided by NVS through the application portal and are downloaded free by candidates or parents before the test. The 2027–28 portal sources do not establish the current cycle’s admit-card fields or release schedule.

Why older “admit card out” reports do not confirm this cycle
Past release announcements concern earlier exams, so they are not evidence that a 2027–28 card is available. Scroll reported on 9 January 2025 that the 2025–26 Class IX and XI LEST admit cards had been released; that report gave 8 February 2025 as the test date. NDTV reported on 7 January 2026 that cards for the 2026 Class IX and XI tests were out, noting that release for West Bengal and Jharkhand was later at the time of publication. Neither report establishes a release date for 2027–28.
The distinction between classes matters: the reports cited here cover lateral-entry tests for Class IX and Class XI. They do not support a claim that a Class X LEST admit card has been released.

What is known about the 2026–27 Class IX test
The official NVS Class IX Prospectus-cum-Notification for 2026–27 scheduled the LEST for 7 February 2026. That date has passed. It should not be mistaken for the 2027–28 exam date, which is not established by the current portal information.
