How large is the cabin—and why do published figures differ?
The 2025 illustrated report gives the pictured cabin as 4,500 square feet (418 square metres). Boeing’s 2007 announcement, by contrast, described more than 5,000 square feet for its 747-8 VIP concept. These figures refer to different source descriptions; the available information does not establish that they concern the same aircraft configuration or use the same measurement method. The Boeing concept figure should not be treated as a measured specification for the Alberto Pinto interior.
In the 2007 announcement, Steven Hill, then president of Boeing Business Jets, said: “With more than 5,000 square feet of cabin space, the new 747-8 VIP jet epitomizes incomparable luxury and operational flexibility.” That was Boeing’s promotional statement about its VIP concept, not an independently confirmed measurement of the pictured aircraft.
