The rapid listings showed how quickly a political moment can become merchandise; they do not establish how much sellers earned or where most proceeds went.
What Trump shooting shirts did influencers sell?
WIRED reported on July 14, 2024, that several creators and political figures had released or promoted shirts using the rally image. These are examples from the immediate aftermath, not confirmation that the products remain available.
| Seller or channel | What WIRED reported in July 2024 | What was said about proceeds or status |
|---|---|---|
| Candace Owens | A shirt bearing the slogan “For God and Country.” | WIRED said Owens had not immediately answered whether proceeds would go to Trump’s reelection campaign or families of people shot at the rally. WIRED’s July 14 report |
| Sebastian Gorka | A shirt reading “The President of America.” | WIRED said Gorka had not immediately answered the same question about proceeds. WIRED’s July 14 report |
| The Hodge Twins | A shirt with the slogan “FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!” | The twins said, “100% of profits from this shirt go to Trump’s campaign.” That was their public claim, not independently audited accounting. WIRED’s July 14 report |
| Old Row | A similar shirt linked by David Portnoy read, “If you come at the king you best not miss.” | WIRED said the item appeared to have been removed from Old Row’s listing by Sunday afternoon; the company did not confirm why. WIRED’s July 14 report |
| TikTok Shop sellers | WIRED observed dozens of TikTok users hawking related shirts, with some using livestreams to encourage purchases. | This describes activity reported in July 2024, not present-day listings or platform policy. WIRED’s July 14 report |
| FaZe Clan | Richard “FaZe Banks” Bengston posted “TRUMP 2024” on X; FaZe Clan later advertised red “MAKE FAZE GREAT AGAIN” hats. | WIRED said FaZe Clan had not immediately replied to whether the posts were official endorsements. WIRED’s July 14 report |
The scale of some creators’ audiences was part of the story: WIRED reported that the Hodge Twins had more than 3 million YouTube subscribers and Bengston more than 5 million at the time. Those figures describe audience size, not the number of buyers.
Who said shirt proceeds would go to Trump’s campaign?
The Hodge Twins made the clearest public statement about proceeds: they said all profits from their “FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!” shirt would go to Trump’s campaign. WIRED did not independently verify the claim. Its report said Owens and Gorka had not immediately responded when asked whether proceeds from their shirts would benefit the campaign or families of those shot at the rally.

That distinction matters financially. A seller’s stated intention is not the same as documented money transferred, and “profits” is not the same as gross sales revenue. The report did not provide audited totals, costs, or a breakdown of what any seller ultimately received.
How much did the merchandise sell?
Axios reported that sales of a related shirt rose 192,400% in July 2024 and that it ranked No. 1 in Amazon’s Men’s Novelty T-Shirts category as of Monday afternoon, July 15, 2024. These are historical figures tied to that reporting window, not a lasting sales trend or a current Amazon ranking. Axios’s July 15, 2024 report
Rank #2
The percentage increase signals a sharp spike relative to the comparison period used in Axios’s reporting; it does not tell readers the absolute number of shirts sold, total revenue, or sellers’ net profit. It also should not be applied to all the products or creators in WIRED’s account.
How did creator merchandise differ from the campaign’s response?
WIRED reported that the Trump campaign sent fundraising texts and emails after the shooting but had not issued related merchandise at the time its July 14, 2024, article was published. That is a snapshot from that date, not a statement about what the campaign sells now.

Jake Paul posted an endorsement of Trump; Logan Paul praised Trump’s response but, in WIRED’s account, stopped short of endorsing him. FaZe Banks’s post and FaZe Clan’s hats were also reported, but WIRED said the company had not confirmed whether they represented official endorsements. Merchandise, political support, and formal campaign affiliation are not interchangeable.

Current inventory is a separate question from what creators sold in July 2024. A present-day page for the Official GOP Store’s “Trump 47 in the Arena Tee Shirt” described it as “The Official MAGA Fight Poster printed on our 100% Made in the USA T-Shirt,” while also showing “More stock coming soon.” That store description applies to its own product, not the influencer shirts in WIRED’s report. The page observation establishes neither a current purchase date nor an affiliate program. The Hodge Twins’ storefront showed general creator apparel and accessories, but did not establish that their 2024 shooting-related shirt remained in stock. Hodge Twins storefront
For anyone searching for a “Trump shooting image T-shirt,” verify the exact listing, seller, fulfillment terms, and any claim about campaign proceeds before buying. A marketplace listing or political slogan alone does not establish that an item is official campaign merchandise. WIRED’s report supports TikTok Shop as a sales channel observed in July 2024, but it does not establish current listings or current creator-affiliate terms.
