What Amazon has confirmed for the 2026 holiday season
Amazon says its 2026 Prime Big Deal Days ran October 6–7 as a 48-hour event for Prime members, with deals across more than 35 categories. The company also highlighted early holiday savings on Kindle and Amazon devices. These announcements establish October shopping offers, not a Thanksgiving sale. Amazon’s announcement does not confirm a 2026 Thanksgiving product list, specific discounts, the number of eligible offers, or the schedule for Black Friday. Until Amazon activates relevant listings and publishes event details, any list of 25 or more Thanksgiving deals would be speculative.
What last year’s schedule can—and can’t—tell you
For historical context only, Amazon announced that its 2025 Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday deals ran November 20 through December 1, and included Thanksgiving grocery offers. Prime eligibility also depends on the event and the individual offer. Amazon described October 2026 Prime Big Deal Days as a Prime-member event, while its 2025 Black Friday Week announcement described offers for a broader group of customers. Check the terms on each live 2026 listing rather than assuming that all Black Friday deals require Prime—or that none do.
How to judge a live Amazon deal
When Thanksgiving offers appear, assess the exact listing rather than relying on a headline discount. Compare the same model, size, capacity, generation, and bundle; a lower price on a different variant is not a like-for-like comparison.

- Confirm the item and variant: Check the product name, model number, size, capacity, and included accessories.
- Check the price and terms: Record the live price, Amazon’s displayed reference price, any Prime requirement, shipping details, and availability.
- Review price history: Amazon says its Price History feature can provide up to 365 days of pricing insights for covered products. - Use the percentage discount cautiously: A large displayed reduction alone does not prove that an offer is a good value. Consider the item’s price history and whether the exact product meets your needs.
For a useful comparison, keep the exact product variant, current price, displayed reference price, Prime eligibility, shipping and stock status, and price-history context together. Recheck before buying: prices, stock, and offer terms can change.

Amazon’s current 2026 announcements establish early-season promotions and an October Prime event, but they do not identify Thanksgiving discounts. Kindle is among the categories mentioned in Amazon’s early holiday coverage, but no particular Kindle model or Thanksgiving price is confirmed there. It should appear in a deal roundup only if an active listing verifies the product and offer.

Likewise, Amazon’s 2025 announcement confirms that Thanksgiving grocery offers existed last year, not that the same products or discounts will return in 2026. A current roundup should include only offers visible on live Amazon listings, with a checked-at time and the relevant country stated because prices, availability, and eligibility can vary.
