DeHaat raised $60 million in a Series E round reported in November 2022, and TechCrunch reported that the Indian agritech company was valued at $700 million to $800 million. That range came from a person familiar with the matter, not a disclosed audited valuation. A separate funding profile lists $700 million for the October 2022 round.
What was DeHaat’s $60 million Series E?
TechCrunch reported on November 30, 2022, that DeHaat had raised $60 million in a Series E co-led by Sofina Ventures and Temasek. RTP Global Partners, Prosus Ventures and Lightrock India also participated, according to the report. The individual investors’ check sizes were not disclosed.
The stated purpose was to deepen DeHaat’s reach and support a path to break-even profitability. In the interview, co-founder and CEO Shashank Kumar said the company planned to use the funding to prepare for future opportunities. He also described the company’s focus at the time as serving more farmers and broadening its network of centers in states where it already operated, rather than entering new geographies immediately.
What valuation was reported, and how certain is it?
TechCrunch reported a valuation range of $700 million to $800 million, attributing it to a person familiar with the matter. Multiples, a separate funding profile, displays a single $700 million valuation for the October 2022 round. These are differently sourced reports: the range is attributed to an unnamed source, while the single figure is a secondary profile entry. Neither establishes a current valuation.

What DeHaat did at the time of the funding
In 2022 reporting, DeHaat was described as using technology, including AI, to connect farmers with agricultural inputs, advisory and credit services, and crop sales. TechCrunch reported company figures of 1.5 million farmers across 11 states and 110,000 villages, with coverage across more than 150 postal-code areas. It also reported more than 2,000 agricultural institutions onboarded and over 10,000 micro-entrepreneurs working with the company. These are figures reported in 2022, not verified current operating metrics.

Kumar told TechCrunch in November 2022 that DeHaat was not planning to add new geographies for at least the next three to five months, and instead expected to serve more farmers and broaden its centers in existing states. That was a statement about the company’s plans at the time, not its present footprint.

No current valuation is established by the figures above. Inc42’s profile, accessed October 8, 2026, lists August 17, 2026 as DeHaat’s latest funding date and shows total funding above $251.21 million. The reviewed profile excerpt does not provide detailed terms for that later financing or a current valuation. The $700 million–$800 million range relates to reporting about the 2022 Series E, not a confirmed 2026 company valuation.
