Applications for Indian Navy INCET 01/2024 are no longer open. The registration window for the 741 civilian vacancies ran from 20 July to 2 August 2024. The examination scheduled for 10–14 September 2024 was cancelled; the Ministry of Defence’s cancellation notice said it would be rescheduled but gave no replacement date.
Is INCET 01/2024 registration open?
No. INCET 01/2024 was a past recruitment cycle, and its published application window ended at 11:59 p.m. on 2 August 2024. Scroll reported the closing date and named the application portal at the time: Scroll’s 29 July 2024 notice. That historical portal should not be treated as an active application link.
The notification text listed registration opening on 20 July 2024 at 10:00 and closing on 2 August at 23:59. It directed applicants to the Indian Navy site via Join Navy → Ways to join → Civilians → INCET-01/2024. The dates and navigation appeared in a notification PDF hosted on a third-party mirror, not an official Navy page: INCET 01/2024 notification text.
What happened to the examination?
The examination had been scheduled for 10–14 September 2024. On 9 September, the Ministry of Defence announced that it was cancelled “due to unforeseen technical and administrative reasons” and would be rescheduled at a later date. The Press Information Bureau cancellation notice did not provide a replacement date. It is therefore not possible to infer a new exam date from that announcement.

What was the application fee?
Scroll reported a ₹295 fee for General, OBC and EWS applicants and an exemption for SC/ST applicants. Because this information comes from secondary reporting, applicants reviewing the historical cycle should treat the official detailed notification as controlling rather than rely on the reported fee alone.

The cancellation notice establishes that the originally scheduled test was cancelled and that a later rescheduling was intended; it does not establish a date or confirm a subsequent examination. For any later update, rely on a current notice from the Indian Navy or Ministry of Defence, rather than an old application portal or a page repeating the 2024 schedule.
