The reported $100 saving came from discounted Nintendo eShop gift cards, not a direct $100 price cut on the console. PC Guide described the method on November 28, 2025: buy $500 in eShop credit for $399.90 through a Sam’s Club offer, redeem it, then use the credit toward the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle. Those were 2025 promotional terms; the offer’s current availability has not been verified.
How the reported $100 saving worked
PC Guide’s November 28, 2025 account said the discount came from paying less than face value for eShop credit. Five $100 Nintendo eShop cards at a reported $79.98 each cost $399.90 in total, giving the buyer $500 of credit to apply to an eligible Nintendo purchase. The gap between the card cost and face value was $100.10 before any membership cost, taxes, or other purchase terms.

- Join Sam’s Club if you are not already a member. The article reported a $50 standard membership and a $110 Plus membership at the time; those historical prices are not confirmed current rates.
- Buy five $100 Nintendo eShop gift cards at the reported $79.98 price per card. PC Guide said the offer was limited to five codes per order per membership.
- Redeem the codes on Nintendo’s website to add the $500 balance to your account. The article said email delivery could take up to 48 hours.
- Use the account balance toward the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle, subject to Nintendo’s purchase and redemption terms.
PC Guide characterized the route as net savings even after the then-reported $50 standard membership fee. That calculation depends on the 2025 card price and membership cost; neither should be assumed to apply now. PC Guide’s November 28, 2025 report is the source for the steps and historical offer terms.
Is the $100-off deal still available?
The historical Sam’s Club gift-card offer is not confirmed as current. Nintendo’s official US retail-offers page lists the bundle at $549.99 MSRP, while supplies last, as of October 8, 2026. That listed MSRP is not evidence that the 2025 eShop-card promotion is active or that the bundle can currently be bought for $100 less.

Before relying on a similar offer, verify the live eShop card price and purchase limits with Sam’s Club, the membership cost that applies to you, delivery timing, and whether Nintendo accepts account credit for the bundle in your region. Also compare the total at checkout, including taxes and any delivery or membership costs, with current retailer prices.
What the Nintendo bundle includes

- The next evolution of Nintendo Switch
- One system, three play modes: TV, Tabletop, and Handheld
- Larger, vivid, 7.9” LCD touch screen with support for HDR and up to 120 fps
- Dock that supports 4K when connected to a compatible TV*
- GameChat** lets you voice chat, share your game screen, and connect via video chat as you play
- The included membership auto-renews after three months at the then-current price unless canceled. Online features require internet access, and membership is not available in every country.
- Nintendo lists a 7.9-inch 1080p screen and 256 GB of internal storage. Storage can be expanded with a microSD Express card, sold separately.
- Switch 2 supports compatible physical and digital Nintendo Switch games, although some older games may be unsupported or not fully compatible.
- With a compatible TV and the included dock, compatible games can output up to 4K; Nintendo says 4K output is limited to 60 fps.
Nintendo’s official product page lists the bundle’s separate-purchase comparison as $37.98 in savings. That is Nintendo’s comparison against buying the system, game, and online membership separately, not the same calculation as the historical $100 eShop-card method.

Compare like with like: the bundle’s current checkout price against the cost of buying its included system, game, and membership separately, then compare either option with your actual cost of eShop credit. Do not count the full face value of gift cards as a saving; count the difference between what you pay and the credit you receive, then subtract costs that apply to your purchase.
