The December, January, February and March dates in ICAI’s announcement were application windows for the Advanced ICITSS Advanced IT computer-based test—not nationwide opening dates for regular ICITSS IT or Orientation Course batches. Those four 2025–26 windows and their tests have passed. For a current test cycle, check ICAI’s Advanced IT test portal; for regular training batches, check ICAI’s course registration portal and your preferred Programme Organising Unit (POU).
Which registration did ICAI announce?
ICITSS is the Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills. ICAI’s FAQ describes its two components as Information Technology (IT) and the Orientation Course (OC), which students pursue separately. If you have completed one component, ICAI says you must complete the remaining component rather than repeat both. The monthly dates at issue here relate to a different step: applying for the Advanced ICITSS Advanced IT test.

ICAI’s student services directory links to the course portal, and its FAQ identifies it for seat allotment in ICITSS and Advanced ICITSS courses. A test form date does not establish when a local training batch opens.
What were the December–March Advanced IT test dates?
ICAI’s announcement dated 17 November 2025 listed the following eligibility cutoffs, application windows and test dates. These are historical dates, not current or recurring guarantees.

All four application windows and tests have elapsed. ICAI’s October 2026 guidance illustrates why candidates should use the notice for their own cycle: for the 8 October 2026 test, it set a separate form window of 10–14 September 2026 and required completion of the new-syllabus Advanced IT course by 8 September 2026.
How to apply for the Advanced IT test
- Check your course status and the current notice. Confirm that you have completed—or will complete—the Advanced ICITSS Advanced IT course by the eligibility cutoff in the notice for the test you want.
- Apply online through advit.icai.org. The November 2025 schedule said physical applications would not be accepted and did not provide a late-fee application option. Check the current cycle’s guidance before acting.
- Choose from the available centre cities. ICAI said it could withdraw a centre or reassign candidates if a centre could not operate or candidate numbers were insufficient. In the cited schedule, an optional Option II centre was allotted only if at least 25 candidates opted for it, and a selected centre could not be changed. Verify whether these conditions apply to the current cycle.
- Pay the applicable fee, if any. The cited schedule made a first test application fee-free and charged subsequent attempts by location, as detailed below. Do not assume those amounts apply to a later cycle without checking its notice.
Fees listed in the November 2025 schedule
For the schedule announced on 17 November 2025, ICAI listed no fee for a candidate’s first application. For subsequent attempts, it listed:
- India: ₹500
- Dubai: USD 150
- Kathmandu: ₹850
These amounts are specific to that published schedule and the locations named; consult the live notice for current-cycle fees.

- Open ICAI’s online course registration portal.
- Look for available ICITSS course batches and select the relevant POU.
- Check the batch dates and seat availability shown for that location. Availability is local, so do not infer a batch date from the Advanced IT test calendar.
Confirm pathway-specific requirements against current ICAI rules and your student status. The Advanced IT test application and training-batch enrollment are separate registrations.
