Eligible U.S. veterans, military spouses, and active-duty service members approaching a job transition can get one complimentary 12-month LinkedIn Premium subscription through career services at a participating nonprofit. Contact Student Veterans of America, Hire Heroes USA, or Hire Our Heroes to ask how to enroll and whether codes are available. LinkedIn says an active Premium subscription makes you ineligible when redeeming the offer.
Who qualifies for LinkedIn’s military offer?
LinkedIn describes the offer for eligible U.S. Armed Forces veterans, spouses of service members or veterans, and active-duty service members navigating near-term job transitions. The nonprofit partners determine eligibility within LinkedIn’s stated terms. This is a U.S. military-community program, not a general military discount that can be claimed directly through a discount page. See LinkedIn’s military-community FAQ for the current terms.
Eligibility also depends on participating in career services through one of the authorized nonprofit partners. The offer is not available simply by adding military status to a LinkedIn profile.
How to request the free 12-month subscription
- Contact a listed nonprofit. Ask Student Veterans of America, Hire Heroes USA, or Hire Our Heroes how to participate in its career services and whether complimentary LinkedIn Premium codes are currently available.
- Take part in the partner’s career services. LinkedIn requires active participation; the partner handles eligibility within the terms of the program.
- Check your subscription status before redeeming. You must not have an active LinkedIn Premium subscription at redemption.
- Redeem the code according to the partner’s instructions. Afterward, check your status on LinkedIn’s My Premium page.
Codes are first-come, first-served, and a partner’s allocation may be exhausted temporarily. If no code is available, ask the nonprofit when to check back. LinkedIn’s FAQ says the offer is one-time, lasts 12 months, and ends automatically when the promotional period expires. It cannot be transferred, sold, shared, or bartered.

Do you need to disclose military status on LinkedIn?
No. LinkedIn says you are not required to add military identity to your profile to receive the offer. If you choose to provide that information, LinkedIn says you can manage its visibility in demographic settings.
How the military offer differs from LinkedIn’s standard free trial
The military-community offer is separate from LinkedIn’s ordinary Premium trial. Do not assume trial billing rules apply to the nonprofit offer; follow the instructions and terms provided for your code. The standard trial has separate eligibility and billing conditions.

- Confirm that you fit one of the military-community groups named by LinkedIn.
- Ask one of the three nonprofit partners about career-service enrollment and current code availability.
- Make sure you do not have an active Premium subscription when redeeming.
- Use the partner’s terms for the military offer rather than assuming the standard trial’s payment or cancellation rules apply.
LinkedIn’s military FAQ was marked “Last updated: 4 months ago” when accessed on October 8, 2026, and does not show a precise publication date. Because partner participation and code capacity can change, confirm current availability directly with a listed nonprofit.
