It covers certain iPhone buyers who say they expected Siri Apple Intelligence features that were not delivered. This is different from the older Siri privacy settlement, whose filing deadline has passed.
First, identify which Siri settlement applies
Two separate cases are commonly described as Apple Siri settlements. The open claim opportunity is the Smartphone AI Settlement. It concerns allegations that people who bought certain iPhones expected Siri Apple Intelligence features that they did not receive. Apple denies the allegations and denies that it did anything improper or unlawful; the settlement is not an admission of wrongdoing.
The older Lopez Voice Assistant Settlement concerned alleged unintended Siri activations and private communications. Its July 2, 2025 claim deadline has passed, so it is no longer the route to file a new claim.

Check whether you qualify for the open settlement
The administrator’s stated class criteria require that you be a U.S. resident and the original purchaser of an eligible iPhone bought in the United States from June 10, 2024 through March 29, 2025. The purchase must have been for personal or business use, not resale.

A secondhand purchase does not meet the administrator’s original-purchaser requirement. A purchase made outside the United States does not meet its stated U.S. purchase requirement. Buying an eligible model now also cannot satisfy the historical purchase window.
File a claim by December 21, 2026
- Go to the official Smartphone AI Settlement website and choose “File A Claim.”
- Complete and personally submit the claim form by December 21, 2026. Use the form’s current instructions and payment choices; the administrator’s landing page does not list those choices.
- If you bought more than one eligible device, submit a separate claim form for each device.
To find your iPhone serial number, open Settings, tap General, then About. The serial number may also appear on the original package, receipt, or invoice. The public settlement page does not establish that a receipt is mandatory or give a complete list of required evidence, so follow the live form’s instructions rather than assuming which documents you need.

How much could the payment be?
The proposed settlement provides a total fund of $250 million. The administrator says valid claimants will receive $25 per eligible device, potentially adjusted upward on a pro rata basis to as much as $95 per device, or downward depending on the number of valid claims and other factors. Those are proposed terms, not a guaranteed final payment amount.

The court granted preliminary approval on July 17, 2026. The final approval hearing is scheduled for February 24, 2027, so final approval has not yet been decided. The administrator has not posted a payment distribution date; no arrival date is established.
