Is Aventigo a course provider or a broker?

Before proceeding, ask whether the offer is solely educational or also involves an account, broker referral, or transfer of trading funds. Do not assume that a course provider is authorized to offer financial services—or that course enrollment requires using a particular trading venue.

Check authorization in your jurisdiction
On January 22, 2024, Québec’s Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) said Aventigo (aventigo.com and aventigo.io) was not registered with the AMF and was not authorized to solicit investors in Québec. The warning also lists Studex Group EOOD as another business name. This is a jurisdiction-specific statement about authorization to solicit investors in Québec; it does not, by itself, determine Aventigo’s legal status elsewhere or whether someone may purchase an educational course. If you live elsewhere, check your own regulator’s current records and verify the provider’s identity and contact details through official channels before sending money or personal information. Be cautious if a course inquiry turns into pressure to invest, open an account, or pay a third party.

How to assess a course before paying
Ask for the current terms in writing and compare the offer against the skills you need to learn. In particular, confirm:
- The complete syllabus, including whether it covers order types, fees, spreads, custody, and risk—not only chart analysis.
- Who teaches the material and what evidence supports any claims about their qualifications or trading experience.
- The total price, refund conditions, access period, and any recurring charges.
- Whether practice is simulated or uses real funds, and whether the provider encourages students to open an account or deposit money.
- Whether the course distinguishes education from investment advice or brokerage services.
Verify these points against the provider’s current official terms rather than relying on an older description or a sales conversation. Reviews can offer anecdotes, but they cannot establish course effectiveness, verify that a reported contact was genuinely from the provider, or show that the service is safe for your circumstances. Trustpilot’s Aventigo profile is a collection of user opinions, which the platform says may not be representative.

A safer way to build crypto-trading skills
Start with market mechanics
Learn what the asset or trading pair represents, how exchange orders work, how fees and spreads affect a trade, and how custody differs from trading. These basics help you understand what a chart does—and does not—tell you.
Study risk before strategy
Understand volatility, position sizing, loss limits, and the added risk of leverage before considering a trading strategy. You can lose the full amount put at risk. A stop-loss order does not guarantee that a position will close at the chosen price in all market conditions.
Practice without putting money at risk
Keep a paper-trading journal with hypothetical entries, exits, and estimated fees. Record why you would take each trade and what would change your view. This can help you test whether you understand a concept; it does not promise future profit.
Use a free resource for fundamentals
