Is there a confirmed West Brom or Southampton salary?
No salary for Shankland at West Brom or Southampton is established by the available reporting and salary data. That does not prove no private approach or negotiation occurred; it means the public evidence does not support quoting a club-specific offer or predicting his pay there.
Club wage tables cannot fill that gap. SalaryLeaks’ West Brom 2026–27 table, last updated 11 August 2026, displays estimates for 14 players ranging from £7,700 to £40,000 gross per week. SalaryLeaks says comprehensive EFL Championship salary data is rarely published and many figures are informed estimates. The range describes that table, not a likely Shankland wage. What is known about Shankland’s contracts?
Hearts deal announced in July 2025
Hearts announced on 3 July 2025 that Shankland had agreed to a three-year deal, subject to Scottish FA approval. The announcement did not disclose his salary. It said he had scored 28 goals in 2022/23 and 31 in 2023/24, and had 68 goals in 137 appearances for Hearts by that date. Those figures describe his playing record, not his pay. Rangers deal reported in May 2026
On 24 May 2026, BBC Sport’s Tom English reported that Rangers had agreed a deal for the Hearts captain, subject to a medical. The report described the fee as undisclosed and mentioned an earlier salary dispute between Shankland’s representatives and Hearts, but gave no salary for a Rangers deal and reported no West Brom or Southampton offer. What does the Rangers wage estimate tell us?
SalaryLeaks lists a Rangers contract beginning in July 2026 and estimates Shankland’s gross base pay at £30,000 per week, or £1.56 million per year, with possible annual bonuses of £250,000. These are database estimates, not figures supported by published contract documents or an official club disclosure. A club’s total wage bill or estimates for other players do not reveal an individual negotiating package. Any comparison would also need to distinguish guaranteed base salary from bonuses and account for the proposed role, contract length and relevant season. None of those player-specific terms is established for a possible West Brom or Southampton move.

Accordingly, there is no sound basis to give Shankland a weekly-wage range at either club. A future, credible report of an offer or contract terms could change what is known; the currently cited estimates cannot be converted into a forecast.
